The sheer amount of money and effort that went into that 240...jeez. The crazy thing is that the work itself is actually well done. If only it didn't look like sh*t.
Yeah, I mean I might not like the style but I've got nothing but respect for the craftsmanship.
They basically trashed a car that is pretty sought-after these days. It looks like a ghetto clown car IMO. No glass left in it except for the windshield, no original roof or any kind of rear seat, ridiculous number of way-too-big speakers placed in positions only a moron would think is cool, and basically all functionality of the car is gone. Once a neat car with collectible value, now it is a car that only impresses kids 10 years old or younger and high school drop-outs. The only things salvageable are the motor and drivetrain, possibly some suspension components.

@@whiteman2812 I saw a BMW 850ci and a Porsche 968 being used in a banger race/demolition derby once, do you know why? Because they were basically valueless at the time. You might not be old enough to remember but there was a time when 240s were everywhere and dirt cheap, supras and skylines could be picked up for a couple of grand rather than needing a mortgage. This thing is an early to mid 2000s show car, it's not supposed to be practical, it would have gone around on a trailer and lived in a shop.
@@whiteman2812 You also have to remember that the 240sx was built like 15 or 20 years ago when that was the coolest thing ever, its not really possible to shit on it because it didnt age well

I personally know the people that originally built that 240. Lots of love and passion went into it. Huge on the car show scene in S Florida 15 or so years ago.
I think it's pretty dope for show car I grew up when this was the show style
Lets just say that it did not age well with regards to modern design. It might have been great in the late 90's car show community, but today if I saw driving down the road I would think crack dealer almost like a reflex without even thinking about it. On the flip-side, I will say that from what I can see in the video, whoever built it did a good job with their fabrication and were definitely skilled, even if the design is not appealing to me at all.
The 240 was a build for those sound system builds you would see in a magazine in the early 2000’s, it’s not meant to be driven it’s a purposely built for car shows. The style of that car is dead but the interior does look good the outside is a bit extra though. But that car is definitely not a daily driver but it’s a clean build just needs better fitment
That 240 used to be in a bunch of different car audio booths when it was being shown I saw it a bunch back in 2009-2013
That 240 isn't a car anymore, it's a car shaped stereo for decibel competitions. It can't drive at speed.

the srt8 wasnt terrible, but id just change the color theme and get rid of the hex livery, paint the car a Candy Blue, And the wheels would be Chrome. Keep the bodykit though.

First car, real sparcos, just really used. Old Hot Import Nights special from like 2005. The stupid plate gives it away. I’m surprised it lasted this long. Who ever did the body work really knew what they were doing, it’s gotta be done 20 years ago at least. I’m surprised it’s not rusted out with cracked paint/bonds everywhere. Must have been in a storage unit or something. It’s fugly! 😂

While I may not like the way that 240 looks aesthetically, I do have to appreciate the work that went into that thing how “clean” I guess you could say it turned out.

I remember that specific 240sx being in the maintenence bay at a local audiophile store. Been years since I've been there, so I'm glad the car still even exists.
that 240sx is definitely one of a kind.. lol. it seems like a build thats not really for driving, just sitting around at a meet up blasting the sound system.

Spend four times the money on building a boondoggle that's completely worthless by the time it's unmolested siblings cost a fortune.

Dude I helped build that 240sx show car, I’m not kidding. Way back in 2005, when I worked at Sound Crafters in Daytona Beach FL. I helped Z (one of the best custom audio builders in the country at the time) the builder for months on that car, it was a huge undertaking for real. It was built for Spring Break Nationals in Daytona, and it was featured in many magazines. The build was also sponsored by JL Audio, Alpine, and of course Sound Crafters. (That car had $100,000 into it at least)The wheels are 1 offs custom machined for the car by the manufacturer, and believe it or not, every panel on that car besides the doors trunk and half the rear bumper cover are hand made. I spent weeks on the engine myself, man it’s been so long now, 18 years now. FYI, that car was intended for car shows, not to be driven. Only ment to demo the audio manufacturers eqiptment, and look good at car show demos. Ohh yeah, last I knew the engine wasn’t a built KA24, at least when I had my hands into it. It basically had the turbo kit for the look, I remember arguing over the injectors because they didn’t want to go bigger than stock due to not really needing it. There was literally a year labor into that car. Hey two decades ago during the Fast n Furious time, that car was cool bro.

I know that 240sx even know the person who made a good portion of it the car was a shop display model not to mention the custom wide body kit lots of hours into this car but it being over 16 years old still in good condition says a lot, also thats not a wrap its airbrushed from a local. joe p from the former "installer institute " helped make this design happen.

The 350z for 10k is located in Alberta Canada more specifically the city of Edmonton because the small part of the map that I can see says Jasper place which is the west Edmonton area I bet the dude took pictures of the car at his parents or his friends parents farm
