I’m in making dinner purgatory and BitHead comes through! Edit: Dinner is done and it’s a masterpiece. The film, not the dinner. Definitely not the dinner.

@@BitHead1000 it's like resident evil with all these fixed camera angles am I the only one who wasn't expecting it to work? I was waiting for you to show the light pop back on lol
Thought I subscribed to the new BitHead69 channel. The 69 for the amount of Oscars this video is going to win. Or the amount of trouble codes that come up after changing 1 part... Always awesome work! Any updates on the 62' mercury?!
Those OBD2 readers are a game changer. My ex used to bring my car to a mechanic whenever the light came on. They'd usually tell us it was a sensor misfire, and that they reset it for us... for $120! Haha
All these years fixing my car.. and it never occurred to me to put paper towel in to snug up a bolt for a weird angle... Thank you Bithead for this piece of knowledge. Also.. I know it's colder where you are than it is for me down in Delaware... so not only was this excessively time consuming on your day I'm sure.. but you're probably lucky to have feeling in your hands..
Almost all my vehicles I've own always have had the engine light on. If its running fine, we just keep driving them, lol. From what I understand, not every state allows that. I kept wondering if the engine light was still going to show at the end lol. The suspense!
Yeah most check engine lights are related to some BS with emissions and not anything functional to the car so if you live somewhere where you don't have to get inspections, it's pointless
Up to 96K subscribers! May the car videos bring you even closer:) can't wait for you to get there sir. I've donated four packages and can't wait to send another:)
Ah, what a nice change. No nose hair shots, no ugly coffee sipping face, no loud gulping of "piping hot" coffee, no asking me if I got something better to do. Just putting in work, I'm in!
The check engine light on my 2005 Scion has been on for 8 years because the downstream O2 sensor is bad and I've never changed the stupid thing and never will. It actually doesn't even come on in the winter, only when it's hot outside for some reason
@@billschlafly4107 the check engine light is pretty much exclusively for bullshit like emissions sensors, that's why people just leave them on and ignore them
I got those codes they went away when I replaced a bad battery. There was water built up in the trunk of the car splashing on the battery in the trunk.
I remember throwing a CEL due to a set of un-wrapped headers I was running. I was all set to go in for inspection, code cleared, and it popped on just before I get there. Did a few "spirited" figure 8s laps around the nearby bypass off and on-ramps, the car gods smiled down on me, and the code cleared again on it's own. Praise be.
Man the similarities even you have the same Altima we rare have anyone to truly relate in this one it’s like 1 in 8 billion. Slim to none chance lol loved this short film great work! She will drive again without turn her engine lights on ool
I knew you were going to show a knuckle buster spot when the scary music came on lol! It was my first thought. The what the fuck would have been my first words too.
Best options for fixing a check engine light. #1 - Cut a piece of black electrical tape and cover the light. #2 - If you really want to make it go away, just do what I did to my 01 Saturn SC2 and remove the light bulb.
For a hot second I was thinking, hey, nissans don't look too bad to work on. If I saw what I had to get at I'd just give up. But I also have resting tremors in my hands so.... Also tell me you didn't walk into that shop and say woops forgot my phone and turn right back around. no way I'd be leaving that out of sight long. 😂
I love this movie. Anyone who has done any repairs on electronics or motors can relate to this. Why did they put the screw down there?? Anyway great SHOW as always .
Jesse, after all these years, I'm starting to wonder if the Japanese mechanics in Japan just remove the engine altogether to get to some of these parts out here, and then laugh their asses off at us ham fisted Americans trying to reach a sensor like that while leaving the engine in the bay! 🤣 Great job brother. 🔧💪👍💯😎 #Dedication
Man, I hope that solved your problem. The cam and crank sensors always go bad on those 2.5's, trust me! I would of changed both just to be safe, but what a pain in the ass. Maybe change the PCV valve too just for grins.
I had the same generation of car. 2005 Nissan Altima. That vehicle got me through some of the worst times of my life. Generally reliable until a sensor craps the bed. I have a great video of the day my transmission exploded after the City of Chicago towed me. It blew a hole through my transmission and differential casing. Gears all over the road. Good times.
I couldn’t tell if your hands were shaking from the horror of the car or from the cold! Pretty sure both actually. I hope this movie doesn’t get a sequel…
Watch you'll still get yelled at for using too much paper towel
This had me rolling!! Lol
He has a hidden stash now?!
This film is a masterpiece. The only line of dialog: Fuck. A powerful artistic choice which speaks volumes. Absolute volumes.
The cinematography itself makes this a horror classic. Not to mention the sound design!
Never thought about the paper towel trick with the bolt head. Learn something new every day.
About 30 years ago My Gramps taught me to use a bit of plastic packaging. It works for interchangeable bitheads like screw tips too.

Wow, Bithead making a short film with lots of different camera angles was very refreshing. Great job.
Gotta love car projects. Laughed at the music to find the bolt.

how funny would it be if this was the video that exploded and sent him over 100k subs finally
Ahh the old car repairs, Always a guarantee of some more beauty(scars) marks on the hands, I still have a slipped screwdriver scar from 25 years ago.

Best part about this whole video was the single word of dialogue being “F*ck” 😂
Beautiful story with a happy ending 👏🏻
Looks like the neighbors love Honda's! Maybe a red 9th gen Accord in the street and a 10th gen in the driveway...🇺🇸🤘🇯🇵
I have always admired people who can work on cars, I usually open the bonnet / hood a single tear rolls down my cheek and I call I real man to fix it.
Can't wait for the positive and upbeat comments about how great it is that he serviced his own vehicle....
Let's face it: according to all available information this short beats the upcoming "Cpt America" already!

Did you use music from the shining when did the in engine close up? Shit was hilarious

The problem with leaving a harmless fault alone is that you won't know when another "not so harmless" fault appears.

The film would have been a masterpiece, but you forgot to add "La Fin" on a black back drop at the end.

Just what I needed.
My battery died again this morning. ☹️

Jesse: ........😢
😂 👍
Mrs. Bithead: “thank you for fixing the car, Bithead. I appreciate all you do for our family.”
Clear codes first then pray they don't come back... then end up losing most of my 10mm sockets somehow
Very little swearing and no dropped socket. I give this repair a 6/10.
ive done plenty of those. just wait until the cvt transmission starts slippin

Long time fan of the show. Where do I find a PO Box to send a gift? Missed sending to holiday special. All the best.

For the garden shot - how did you managed to put the camera down on the lawn and not in some dog sh*t…? Amazing!
Every real man knows this annoyance....with 4 cars, I felt this.

This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine, shine shine shine....
I like seeing the outside world. We always see the inside of the scream shed
My life in a nutshell.
I was almost positive the video would end on a 'service engine' light and possibly a screaming "FHUUUU..."
Nothing like working in an engine bay with your bare ashy hands on a freezing windy day.
