That's hilarious! Yes, back to the lab! Sometimes Daphne will simply not let me work, so I work her in when she's extra persistent. :)

It's only a few grams lighter than my 30 dollar similarly sized inflatable pad/small matress. Eh, maybe in the future when I'm trimming weight.

Hey, thanks for the comment. That's good to know. I agree, I have seen lots of light and portable mattresses. This one however is quite a bit more durable than my other $30 mattress. Can you speak to the construction quality of your current $30 mattress? This one is light, but it also packs quite a bit more punch when it comes to the durability and structure of the mattress itself. I think that's why it costs more.
Here are my takeaways having owned this one and a $30 cheaper one. If budget is a priority, and it often is, then go with a cheaper one. If however, you need a tougher, more supportive mattress, but still need it to be light weight and portable, then certainly give this one a look.
In my younger years I would have gone with the cheaper one, but as I've aged and specifically my back has not held up well, the comfort and support this one offers is worth the difference in cost. IMO
Thanks again for your comment, you are right on with your thoughts.
