RadioLab is pretty much gold. 90%+ of their casts I find interesting, honest and most importantly....curious about the same things I am. Thank you guys!
Thank you, Latif Nasser. My once healthy, outgoing husband has been suffering similarly, and has become a recluse who's now afraid to leave the house. Your podcast gave us direction and hope, and as a retired health professional, found it fascinating. Long time fan of Radiolab to begin with, but this one in particular couldn't have come at a better time for us.
If this episode was one published one week later, it would definitely have included the Nobel Prize in medicine for 2022 to Svante Paabo for paleogenetics and sequencing of Neanderthals genome. Great coincidence.
Dear Latif: be less self-absorbed. You may think that your every thought, feeling, and bodily experience is fascinating, but most of us don't. And coming up with some ad-hoc anthropological theory prompted by your own medical condition is just insufferable. I hate what the show has become.
Someone called 'Very Important Person' gives advice to another to 'be less self-absorbed'? Honestly, my husband has been going through a similar health crisis and I found the podcast informative and helpful. It's really as easily as changing the channel, you know.

Like the vibe but honestly too much sound effects- it takes away from the conversation imo

I personally think that neanderthals might have been the descendents of Cain (Adams son), and went extinct in the flood. Call me crazy idc.
@Brandon Kirby It’s not a good gene. We know that much so far .
