I keep saying to myself cut down on RUclips fountain pen videos, and then this pops up, and I must watch.

thenk you for the precious video. just 2 hints for improving - in my opinion - : remove continous auto focus, and if possible show a similar test with western common nibs like Waterman or Parker so we can realize what difference there are with Pilots measures - I know very well how wide is a Parker Sonnet or Waterman Expert medium are at the eye but I have no instrument to measure them so that I can compare the with the numbers you got from the test.
I hope I'll be able to find something like this with the Pilot flexible nibs

Fantastic video as always - so useful. I’m trying to decide between B, BB and C for my next 743but was also considering a stub or music nib. I’m still undecided.if only this video included these other nibs. Based on this I’m leaning towards a BB.

I need help. I was interested in buying a Custom 823, but I've heard that 743 is much better because it is easier to clean, and it is a converter/cartridge pen. Can anyone help me please?

Amazingly helpful video! I think the M nib is a bit too thick for my taste so I'll definitely purchase the F

I love the #15 nib, really want this pen…but I want the Verdigris. And a medium-fine. Annoying that the Verdigris doesn’t come in all these nib sizes!

I guess it would be more informative if we could also hear the sound each nib makes when writing, instead of listening to this music. Sounds give a feeling of comparative “feedback” and “scratchiness” of the nib, which has been missed here. 😢

hello. I have just gotten into fountain pens and I am very fortunate to have seen this video.
I am concerned about nib thickness.
Can you tell me which 743 nib matches the thickness of Platinum's Preppy EF and Preppy F?

Podría indicarme que diferencias existe entre un punto FA y Fine Medium, gracias

    How smooth is the ?
I just got the Elite 95s and am amazed how buttery smooth it it. I wonder if the might be too wet for a big nib like that?

The M will be about the same wetness as the E95S, but the FM is also very smooth :)

What're the differences between pilots nibs? Just size? Or are some of the nibs for their premium pens rhodium plated or something?

which nib would you recommend for journaling with a 5mm dot grid

    • @KobieK
      @KobieK Год назад

The Fine Nib is best for 5mm dot grid if you want your notes to come out looking very neat. But beware that only Pilot makes Fine Nibs that are not scratchy, so if you don't like scratchiness (feedback) when writing, stick to Pilot.

@@KobieKsome say the sailor also smooth but others say its smooth also have audible feedback, and isn’t it? I cant deal with noise with pens. Pencil noise not problem also i like the grafit’s crushing noise

@@VladimirRobespierre Sailor's fine nib are smooth and make sounds. Main reason people like me like them, I would recommend staying away if you dont like noise with pen.
