To the haters out there. It's easy to say that it was luck or chance. I wonder if she herself got "impostor syndrome". She might have had some lucky chances along the way, but I will give her credit for sticking at it and making into part of history. I also think she talks it down a lot. We all know what it takes to make something special, and how hard it really is to come up with great ideas. I believe she has worked hard.
hello,hello...i just received a message about this and so i discovered i did this...i did not know i did this...no memory...no sobriety,no memory...i was intrigued, mystified and amazed to find i had this secret past...looking at the comment, yes, that was me...i think my comment was a combination of my frustration of being a frustrated photographer and knowing certain things about annie...she did not rate the shot for the clash album because it was out of focus,it was the clash who realised it was great...she spoke about a "lost opportunity" when taking a shot of many of the top musical acts in the world...she did not rate the john lennon pic in this video, which had "some truth"...most of her photographs are staged...with props...some work, some are silly, but all are staged...gimme some truth...i just don't think she is a great photographer, she happened to get the right job in rolling stone, which then took off,so annie was the guy to go to,but i don't see anything special...is annie leibovitz as good a photographer as vivian mayer? no...is annie leibovitz as good a photographer as me...i don't think so,but it could be the drink talking,i've had a few...how do you spell LEBOWITS?

There is no denying her early genius. In the last 10-15 years, though, her addictions to props has ruined her craft. That thing she did with the celebrities as fairy tale characters was a mummified, lifeless fiasco.
If anyone is searching for a lifetime purpose, then one should consider DEDICATING THEIR INNER ABILITIES OVER TOWARDS THE PROGRESSION OF HUMANKIND! As we age, we lose our inner youthfulness. We grow to be bitter, hollow and remorseful of that which we are slowly losing, ourselves. In our deception, we allow a callus persona to encompass our psyche's. And we eliminate our inner child, and that which we hold as endearing to our adult interactions. Anne made a choice to nurture her inner child.
It's not the most greet interview... I miss emotions... I feel lot of luck and some arrogance! The talent she definitly has, but she doesn't touch me!!
