Thanks for showing the Vauxhall 1.4 xer cam Timing video, it helped me a lot. ( garage done the timing chain and didn’t time it up correctly glad it didn’t hit valves )
Love watching these videos, a great way to learn stuff. Are Renault cars any good these days or are they still deserving of the unreliable reputation? They do look nice to be fair!
Well I’m on my eight Renault, and my latest is the same car as Baz is working on there. I’ve never had an issue with any Renault I’ve owned, neither did my late Dad who had many and my mother drives a 2006 Clio, bought from new and still purring like it’ll go forever. Plus my daughter has a 2010 Clio that is a little cracker of a car. Yeah, I maintain them all and while I’m no Baz, I know my way around cars. Don’t know why some people like to slag Renaults. Great cars in my experience
@@xxl531 it was red buddy as the tank was red in colour, if it was green, green would have gone back in... I thought they were green as well but I checked with the factors and they said red as well. In-stock both colours what ever comes out goes back in
the videos are fantastic and very much like seeing the new tools , currently working on making one of those engine supports, the idea is very simple and very effective. Re the problems with the other battery operated tools and the replacement dewalt ones. Is the company responsible for the faulty ones going to replace?
Agree entirely with you Baz about these large screens vs 'knobs', in addition how come you get fined for being distracted when eating or drinking, but you can smoke (one hand off wheel and smoke in your eyes, with a hot ember in car) or look at your screen (never in line of sight) with impunity?? beats me
Water pump doesn’t give bother in these. Really was no need to replace that. The only part of the cooling system that gives bother is the thermostat housing in these. That seems to be the only common issue with the 1.3. Otherwise a great engine.
I had the DCF900 1/2” gun with a 54v battery on it when it came out brand new best 1/2 I’ve ever used/had but I did have a dewalt battery ratchet. Absolutely terrible imo
I've noticed the belt is textured on the outside, I wonder if that's done on purpose so over time it smooths out and it'll indicate it's about time to change it again.
Ive actually got the same tool bar all the fittings, rarely stuck, absolutely fantastic tool👍

@@Zinnia82 they ain't a bad car buddy tbh there's good and bad in all manufacturers, this was a clean example of one and drove like new
Undeserving of their reputation. But I’d rather they keep their reputation. Means I can buy great value for money cars.

great video but as you say all these screens even changing coolant is beyond DIY man as it would airlock for sure
Where do you get the car bras from? Love how much you look after the customers car.

Pride in the job. Great to see.
Did the timing chain on one yesterday, it chewd up the guides at 60.000 km😮

They needed the belt change so the owner thought do the pump too, well that's the normal way of thinking...
jesus wept, i give up, belts with no tensioners, plastic water pump parts inside a hot engine, unbeleivable
How much is that Pichler engine support...and where do i get one Baz??

Pissing out. Not a bad week. Bit slow
Not a fan of French cars!
Some nice styling but thats about it.
Tce, totally crap engine, Sce seriously crap engine
Why?
@LukeL-s1u that's just what we used to call them at Renault dealer I worked at
1.3 is a good engine 1.2 turbo not so much
@@ronanwood6891 that is true, the 1.2 is junk, though I do like doing the timing chains on them. Very easy job.
Is there any fault with the Clio 1.5 diesel
Rubbish 🗑
Do you have someone who looks after you?
