This looks awesome, will the stock turbo and stock trans continuously and reliably handle the +150hp tune with aggressive driving and trans tune??? Just want to ensure longevity before spending the money and possibly voiding warranty. Thanks!
Hi, I'm writing from Italy, I have a 2004 Sierra Duramax, all stock. Is there any tuning to make transmission shift gears at lower RPM when a drive slow? Regards
Guys, when so you anticipate TCM tuning available. I know for fact that your tuning generate a lot of power, and I don’t want to mess with the transmission without tuning. I’m referring to 2020 and newer 10 speed Alison. Thanks!!
@@Duramaxtuner will the TCM tuning come with a TCM modified module?? If I get the SOTF tuning from you now, can I add this TCM tuning later on with out affecting this ECM tuning??
@@iankodiaz5972 Any future trans related upgrades will be designed to compliment existing ECM tuning. Basically you can upgrade now and add on as developments are made.
Do these guys do all types of Duramax work (as in mechanic shop type) or just performance? Can't find a reliable place I trust anywhere to restore my truck's health. Getting fuel in my oil that wasn't solved with injector replacement, increased black smoke, etc. is what i'm trying to fix.
If you go from stock to tune 5 there will be a bit of mush for the first few shifts, and similarly if you go from tune five down to stock expect some extra firm shifts.
First and foremost, how does/will this affect warranty...I have a 2020 GMC 3500HD AT4 with 5000mi on it and a LONG way to go before any of the warranties expire... Secondly, how long does the install/tuning process take(in house), will I need to leave my truck or will it be available within(insert time frame)...???
Warranty is at the discretion of your dealer. It doesn't evaporate once you tune the truck but certainly any powertrain failure (a rare circumstance) that GM deems the fault of the tune will be your responsibility. Most customers keep their stock ECM for the ability to return to stock if the need should arise.
@@joshp7539If emissions equipped tuning i doubt it.... If it was deleted and returned to stock they probably could if they really wanted to. It counts how many times the truck has regened. If the number is super low and the truck has 80k miles theyre gonna raise an eyebrow.
Duramaxtuner, Has anyone been able to figure out how there is TCM tuning for the Ford version, but not with the GM version of this trans? Is the TCM encrypted like the ECM, Is that the problem with not being able to tune them?
@@Icutmetal yeah I meant the 10spd trans in the 2020 Duramax's. Its the same physical trans just maybe different TCM. But the Ford is tunable and the GM isn't. I'm just surprised the GM still doesn't tuning or a work around by now.
Nick can I run the 67G2 turbo with your tunes and can your tunes be already downloaded into the new ecm, then all I have to do is unplug old and install new
Most, reasonable, adult drivers find the best results with MPG in the Street tune. Especially for those that can take advantage of running a higher gear and maintaining lower RPMs.
Does this cause more frequent regen’s? Really want to tune just still skeptical on how new the emissions compliant tunes are. What should I expect other than more power and better trans behavior?
Donnie, while emissions equip tuning may be new for others in the industry it’s been our bread and butter for the past 10 years. Our tuning strategy has been proven successful at dramatically increasing power and maintaining durability of the emission system over this time. Check out the link below for more information on regen and soot accumulation on L5Ps.
Yes you do. The cruise control cancel button (when Cruise is not active) will enable tune switching. Once you do that, you just use the Speed +/- button to select your tune level.
Ehhh... I'm sceptical of those numbers. 150 horse will cook the turbo and shorten the life of the DPF. It'd take 3 regen cycles to fix 1 night in front of a sled.
Wow Sounds pretty awesome but I just ordered the Banks Derringer tuner for my L5P. It was delivered today so we will see how it does on the truck
Good choice.

That should not be a problem. I know if you are running 1/4 mile passes you need all the top end power you can get.
Is it a ecm swap or is it like efi live “flash in tune”?
Did you think to look at their website?
You need an unlocked ECM to be able to flash an L5P ECM. duramaxtuner.com/l5p-tuning-package.html

It would be unlikely.

Well....this is exciting
Does the truck have to be deleted or keep it stock and add tune ?
Trucks would stay emissions intact, then add the tune from there!
