This is the best cordless grinder I've ever had, some of my friends want to borrow it but I said no and no means no 😔 . To me it's a beast and I love it .
I love mine it has done every heavy job I needed it to do grinding cutting metal clean up frame repair its just a beast I have never been able to stall mine at all its a super beast
Oh yeah , no shit bra I use this grinder on my heavy engineering like you and it's a beast and I haven't even bothered to use my corded grinders in the last 6 months . Love this machine , I use 6 to 12 amp hour flexivolt for continuous cutting and grinding when welding in remote areas . Like a dream come true this machine .
I've had one for over a yr and a half, battery life is fair, but not awful, mine also stopped working after a yr and needed to be sent out and fixed, cost 140 to rebuild, overall I like it, i use it every day to cut vinyl siding, but definitely didn't last as long as I'd have liked for a 400 dollar initial investment..
Same here on runtime. I cut a 2' line in a section of concrete for about 5 mins and the battery was spent. Cut a few 4" plates out of 1/4" thick straight steel plate, in about 8 minutes of cutting the battery charged was spent. I guess I'm going to have to buy a 12ah flexvolt battery. Extremely disappointed in the battery run time.
I thinking of Why people buying an expensive 8 minutes tools?. Don't have one, but in a fair review, the runtime is too short. so i do hold back to invest in this kind of tools. Please correct me if I'm wrong 🙏
That's a beast of cordless grinders, I have Milwaukee 7-9" angle grinder, and the company claims that it has 15 amp of corded power, which I extremely doubt (even though it has more than enough power for my use to it), I would really like to see both in comparison to see if their claim of 15amp was even close to corded tools, by comparing it to this beast which DeWalt claimed it has 13amp corded power and I would say DeWalt wasn't laying about their claim, thank you very much for the great review, keep going bro!
I had the DeWalt 20v grinder worked great for what I used it for some small welding and light metal work. I then purchased the new Milwaukee m18 fuel 4 1/2 for my daily job because I use DeWalt for shop at home and Milwaukee for work yes I own a lot of tools 😅 a fellow tradesmen brought in this DeWalt 60v to do some work and it looked like it had the some beef. He had a 4 1/2 cutting blade on it cut a few things and grinded some metal. I then took out my Milwaukee with a H.O. 8 AMP HR battery and it worked the same as the big DeWalt but smaller 🤔. In the end I like both systems I own them both, but when it comes to ease of use I prefer Milwaukee ONE battery fits ALL there tools! Even my new addition the Milwaukee M18 12in sliding compound miter saw! Plenty of power and extremely light very cool 😎 DeWalt uses 2 60v batteries, Milwaukee just one 12 amp hour lasts all day for what I use it for and if I forget to charge it up at night before I leave the job I can always just take 1 m18 battery like my HO 8 AMP hour to start the day until the big battery charges to 100% then switch to finish the day. Very impressed with Milwaukee tool 👌👍 great video tho 👍
Bosch's system is pretty cool, but you can only use X-Lock discs with it - this DeWalt looks like it is using Metabo's quick release, which you can use any standard Type 27 disc with... but they're all awesome. No more wrench is best wrench!
Flip the lever leg around that engages the guard in each spot and the guard will spin one direction with no need to press the lever but still lock in on every spot
I found out that once you start rotating the guard adjustment to set it as you wish, just continue in the same direction clockwise to put it back in its initial place when ur done !
I think the new model comes with a single 21700 cell 9ah battery this looks like the one I have because mine cane with 2 6ah batteries running the 18650 cells
I’ve got a corded Dewalt grinder and it’s got the same guard adjust lever on it. I actually really like the adjustment lever on it. Is this the older flexy or the new one?
The flexvolt grinder osb the only cordless grinder that rivals a corded grinder and that's more than a cut off tool. That bad boy can actually grind. The only negative and it's common amongst all cordless grinders, is the battery life isn't enough to be a practical replacement for a corded model of you're doing real grinding.
It's definitely a nice looking grinder but I have the Milwaukee M18 fuel grinder and don't have the newest model but it is new and gives you the same screen just covers the back half of the grinder but also with the new Milwaukee you have three positions to put the handle one on either side plus the one on the top and I imagine you could probably use the same nut Milwaukee's you don't need a Allen key or Fork to tighten or loosen the nut because it has a wing that flips up so there's no looking for tools to change out the blades but it comes down to the battery platform I keep buying Milwaukee one I like the tools but I have all the batteries
Hi TRZ, I do like the design on this dewalt flexvolt grinder then the 20v. Would be nice if dewalt made the same design for the 20v line. I still wish dewalt can release the UK 20v model with the side switch in the US. I don't like the paddle switch style. Just my thoughts. Thanks for the video
Just bought the 60 volt brushless/ with9 amp hour 20v /60v flex battery, Been using for 2 weeks, the battery last 9 minutes grinding aluminum welds then needs a charge, directions also state let battery cool before charging. What the hell is wrong with this picture.
Tool Review Zone didn’t realize you got the Gen 1 bro. Dewalt just released the Gen 2 that’s what I saw in store. I have this grinder and love it. Like all angle grinders it’s a battery eater but man, it’s a freaking monster! Great ergos of course it’s Dewalt. Be well bro!
He is demonstrating removeing rust, when knows dam well, does not prove it can take the bite. A working man needs something that last more then 9 minutes under pressure. Whats your wife say.
This is the best cordless grinder I've ever had, some of my friends want to borrow it but I said no and no means no 😔 . To me it's a beast and I love it .
I got one today, super happy with it
I love mine it has done every heavy job I needed it to do grinding cutting metal clean up frame repair its just a beast I have never been able to stall mine at all its a super beast

Wow, that's not good. Thanks for the feedback bro

Mine melted using a metal max wheel I did think it was the baddest grinder out then I heard of the DCG418
Was concerned about missing my arm workouts, this grinder fixed that lol
I thinking of Why people buying an expensive 8 minutes tools?.

I haven't tried the Mikwaukee Grinders yet, but this is awesome. Thanks for the comment alyus!

Bosh does have a great idea of the quick, keyless dis change.!
Man, I haven't tried that yet! I should try to get it here on the channel 👊

I bougth one of this and simply it's an amazing thing!!
Flip the lever leg around that engages the guard in each spot and the guard will spin one direction with no need to press the lever but still lock in on every spot
I found out that once you start rotating the guard adjustment to set it as you wish, just continue in the same direction clockwise to put it back in its initial place when ur done !
You have to push down on and turn for this one. Took me a bit of time figure it out but not bad after I did lol
@@ToolReviewZone ok i'll try that out as well. thx
I love mine its a beast
Great vid as always....it sounds really strong. Kudos to DeWalt.
I think the new model comes with a single 21700 cell 9ah battery this looks like the one I have because mine cane with 2 6ah batteries running the 18650 cells
1st one to Smeesh that like button. Awesome power detect tools. Thanks for the videos with all the craziness on the world!
Haha, thanks for the SMEESH Eric!!!! Stay safe brother 👊
I’ve got a corded Dewalt grinder and it’s got the same guard adjust lever on it. I actually really like the adjustment lever on it. Is this the older flexy or the new one?
Hey Tool Reviews. This is the previous model
Does it reverse?
i like the wood wheel
Is this the new updated Flexvolt model?
Nice vid
Thanks bro👊👊👊
Is it safe to attach and use a 4inch grinding disc for the tool?
Can this grinder grind down cement to level?
Great video Clint is this the old model or the new model that they just came out with
Old model new one even more power
What other battery I can use
When will the dcg418 54v be released in europe/Holland?
BeastMode cuzbo !!
Beastly CUZYMOTO!
Use that 7" wheel for a couple cuts and it'll be a 6" wheel
Haha,very true
What's up Joseph! I haven't tried the Mikwaukee grinders yet...bumbed 🥺
Still can’t find where to buy the 5” guard!
Uma máquina desta magnitude deveria revelar o seu verdadeiro poder em testes com metal ao invés de madeira.
Hi TRZ,
I do like the design on this dewalt flexvolt grinder then the 20v.
Would be nice if dewalt made the same design for the 20v line. I still wish dewalt can release the UK 20v model with the side switch in the US. I don't like the paddle switch style.
Just my thoughts.
Thanks for the video
What's up Michael!!! Thanks for the feedback bro!
@@ToolReviewZone
No problem, like your videos. I always hit that Like button my friend.
My dude👊 thanks bro
I like the 7" disk better DeWalt should make a 7" guard for that size
That wood carving disc is sweet
Just bought the 60 volt brushless/ with9 amp hour 20v /60v flex battery,
Been using for 2 weeks, the battery last 9 minutes grinding aluminum welds then needs a charge, directions also state let battery cool before charging.
What the hell is wrong with this picture.
I want one does grinders
Me too. Unfortunately I need to send it back to Acmetools.....unless I take a run to the boarder!!!!
Just saw this in store. Had a single 9.0AH battery for $299. Any different from the Gen 1 version? What’s your thoughts bro?
You can get this plus the bag and two 6.0 batteries for $379. I've only used the 20v grinder, but this thing is a beast bro
Ahhh got it bro. Tha is for the feedback Treeboss!!!!
Can we see this VS the Milwaukee 6 in
I'll wait until the newest 69v comes out then I'll do a Tool Duel!!!!
Here in 2021 the 2x4 costs more than the grinder!
Hahaha, so true Ron 😪
Is that the dcg414 ? Cuz they just came out with the dcg418 with even more power?
Yeah it's the 414
That’s a beast 😀😀😀😀😀💪🏾💪🏾
BEAST JOSE!💪
Great reviews brother! Keep it up. Always look forward to watching your reviews!
How much for both batteries?
I left a link in the description. I cant remember right of the top of my heat, but I think $299
Ah a propósito desapertar o disco precisa ser rectificado, não é prático. Fora isto definitivamente eu compraria esta máquina. Aprovado.
Ur the best
Right back at ya Don 👊
Get the new dewalt dcg440 7inch.
😷🍻🍺
way to pricey
Wait till you get a blade fragment in your skull, dont try this at home.
He is demonstrating removeing rust, when knows dam well, does not prove it can take the bite.

Whats your wife say.
I’m not verry impressed with it my one has blew up already and killed my battery At the same time
