  • Hi, everyone. Let’s get to know dinosaurs with ZHAO Chuang. In today’s video, he will talk about Donald the Saurophaganax, a large carnivorous dinosaur that lived in the Jurassic period. Its body length could exceed 10 meters with an ultimate length of up to 11 meters, which is quite close to the size of Tyrannosaurus rex. Check the video to find more.

Gross. Lizards are not even closely related to dinosaurs like birds, turtles, and crocodiles are. I see no reason why dinosaurs besides sauropods, dromeosaurids, abelisauruds, and smaller theropods would even have lips.

apes are not closely related to lizards either yet somehow we still have lips, in fact every single living terrestrial animal in the world has lips. The only thing that would make you think they would not have them are the crocodilians, and evolution cares about relation about 10% as much as life style, you evolve features to aid in survival not because you are a part of a family, or even a specific clade. A large terrestrial carnivore and a croc share almost no similarities in life style, and even on t rex it has been proved that to not have lips and hold its mouth the way we used to think it would with no lips, it would have to break a bone in its skull for that to even be possible.

    Dear PNSO,
Did you start to add lips to your theropods/dinosaurs due to pressure from complaining customers?
