With all the space in the LV desert, why would you tear down a classic Hotel like the Tropicana to build a baseball stadium ?? 😢 They really need to stop the destruction of such landmarks.
This hotel is too old. It was built in the 1950s and has outlived its lifespan

Sheer craziness seeing a baseball stadium be placed at the start of the Vegas strip. I would have thought somewhere close but not literally at the strip
Why? It makes perfect sense, and allows all the tourists easy access
@@BAKER22-l4u No it doesn't make any sense at all. Maybe to you it does but most people who go to Las Vegas Strip are there to spend time with family or friends with all the sites and places to see. You're on here questioning people who don't agree with what they're doing to the history of Las Vegas. Not everyone likes sports. There's no place for a baseball stadium on the Las Vegas strip!! Let people have their opinions and stop questioning nearly everyone in this comment section.

My wife is the gambler in the family. We have been going to Vegas 3 times a year for 20+ years. She always gets us comped rooms. We stayed at the Tropicana .....once. About 15 years ago. It was a dump then. That is why they are tearing it down to build a new stadium.
So I take it the elevators are still working and thats how they got the bob cats up there?

Don't understand why they didn't start at the top and work their way down. Would have been easier than having to go back and reclean the lower floors. ????
They are going to implode it, they are just preparing it so that it falls safely during implosion
Probably has to do with all the other workers doing prep work ahead of them. Best to have those crews working above you than below. Recleaning lower floors later is a lot safer than the dangers of crews working underneath a demolition crew.
