First and second power lift for me on my ninja 500 40th anniversary 190kmh so far (haven't had chance to hold long due to coming in to traffic on each run). Im happy with the 500 and so far i have not bought the 650l (750l biggest bike i can legally ride for 3years Australia LAMS)
@@ACommenterOnRUclips I have a full Hindle going on mine. But for most people it really won't matter that much. You get the weight and sound benefit for a very low cost with the slip-on. Some of the aftermarket exhausts cost 20% of what the bike does.
@@Shane661 i did the full exhaust on my 09 Ninja 250R along with the pod filter direct to the carb and did the carb jetting and tune and it made a world of difference in power. @@dylandrye2017 the Ninja 500 tachometer is quite inaccurate. You can actually shift it at over 1K rpm into the red. I learned this later. @@Shane661 Yeah it’s weird. I don’t know if it’s EPA, gearing, or what, but I would love to learn if you know why the 250cc larger bike only gains an extra 10-20 mph. I know that double the cc doesn’t equal double the hp, but you would think the gains would be greater, especially with how efficient new engines are?
@@kieran.c7684 It is pretty simple...aerodynamic drag is not linear. So, the faster you go, the more power it takes to increase the mph. This particular bike has seen 131 mph on the speedo, and makes 49 hp at the wheel, as tested on my local dyno. ruclips.net/video/eF-wN0-MUqA/видео.html
basically euro regulations fuck up motorcycle performance, unless we're talking about southeast asia. euro regulations are bullshit there so you can push limit of a 250cc like no tomorrow
Australia the answer is simple " EURO 5 BS We follow here!" Bikes are restricted in the ECU and just look at the zx10r to see only once does it allow bikes to use 100% (for a millisecond at 11500rpm). Bikes need to be uncorked to compare with 90's bikes etc
@@Fonyikopo We've had two 400's and now the 500. No issues noted with the clutch. I've seen some of the claims, but I have not seen dyno charts showing rpm and drum speed that indicate slip. If there is an issue for some, it is easily remedied with a change of springs.

Yes, it is easy to handle. I have been riding on the street for nearly 40 years, and these are great bikes.

130 KPH? This bike goes near 200 KPH, as tested with GPS, while indicating 211 KPH on the speedo. Units shown in vid are in MPH.

You can get a slip-on for under $100. It won't make more power, but will sound and look better. And lighter, too. The ones for the 400 fit.

Shifting without using the clutch, stock exhaust.

what do peoples minds have to do with your mind turning red ?

Yes, it will go to nearly 12k on the tach. The actual rev limit of the motor is 11300 rpm. These are things I later learned about, with more miles.
