jo log akele hote hai woh log pet aur chizo (samaan) ko ek insaan samaj ke sath rakhte hai. akhir me jis aurat se shadi ki woh bhi khali (bejaan) aurat thi, tab pet aur chizo ko koi jaroorat nahi hoti kyunki wo aurat in jaise hai.

For those who only "listen to" literature as opposed to reading it, this is heavily re/para-phrased and the original Urdu words and phrases have been replaced by clumsy, badly written alternatives ("iss baat ko *ley ker*".. it's just too rough and ugly for Manto). Also, it's dub'bay, not dibbey.
sunShine Well, we don't have to conjecture. The original short story starts as, "یہ حیرت مجهے اب بهی ہے کہ..." (Yeh hairet mujhay ub bhee hai keh...). And generally among native Urdu speakers, one would say 'main iss baat per hairaan hoon' instead of 'iss baat ko le ker hairaan hoon'. The latter is perhaps a chiefly Hindi expression, not sure.

Your voice and video quality is great but why do you change some of the difficult Urdu words or complex sentences. I understand changing them will make them easier for people to understand but it compromises the exotic and pure urdu manto's used, decreasing the quality of his work. Read word to word afsaane please.

Not all listeners would be able to understand Urdu expressions that's why to make it easier, she has simplified it
