    I'm loving her books at the moment. Its great she puts the names of the flowers in the back for reference x

      It really is very useful, although what I did with my flowers was nothing like they should have looked!

    The Arteza experts do respond very well to a blending pencil. They tend to do that thing soft oil pencils do where they sit on top of paper tooth (I've always thought they color like a hybrid of wax and oil), especially the darker colors... but when you run the blending pencil over it just kind of melts into the paper, very glowy (since they are quite transparent) and smooth. You don't have to scrub at them either since they are so soft. Makes a big difference.

    Bird could also be a Cedar Waxwing. We have a Red-tipped Photinia that was covered in tiny berries. One morning it was also covered in a big flock of Waxwings. They stripped that huge photinia in a couple of hours. It was an amazing to watch 💜💖💜

    Bats are lovely creatures. Very beneficial. The only bad thing about them is their poo lol.. it can be toxic or even flammable so you don't want it in your attic or walls. Where I lived in Louisiana it was very common for people to have bat houses on their property for them to live in because they eat tons of mosquitos.... 1000 in an hour, up to 5000 in a single night, per bat.

    Do you find the paper weird? I can't get a nice look with my polychromos pencils.

    • @RachelHendersonColouring
      @RachelHendersonColouring  Год назад +1

      I did not notice it was that different to be honest. However, paper can vary depending on where a book is printed, so mine may be different to yours.

    Great flip through. That’s my favourite Maria Trolle book. I haven’t started colouring in it yet, as I’m still working on twilight garden (for practice). The colours you picked are gorgeous, I am tempted to purchase a set. Are all the colours in the set you linked? Do you recommend this set? Have you coloured in Hanna Karlzon books? X

    • @RachelHendersonColouring
      @RachelHendersonColouring  Год назад +1

      Thank you. All the colours are in the set that I linked to, the link is to the exact set I was using. It is hard to say I recommend them as there is only one set of pencils I have tried that I would not recommend! It is very much down to personal taste but I do like them, as I do most of my pencils! I have one Hannah Karlzon book - Daydreams and I have done some colouring in it and some videos.

      @@RachelHendersonColouring ok good to know ~ I will definitely check out those videos. I know what you mean when you say you like all your pencils. There are so many nice sets out there. I like all my high end ones (except derwent artist-not for colouring books), and I also love my castle arts and Faber Castel classics - the latter were recommended by the art gear guide and I find they are a pleasure to use especially in Rita berman’s books. Having said that, the Artezas are often reviewed positively, but so are black widows, arrrtx, brunzyl, Brutfuner macarons pastel colours, and Brutfuner squares. I think I may settle on the artezas and Brutfuners and STOP there.

      @@giadr9911 It can be overwhelming having too many sets to choose from! It is lovely to have a big selection though!!! pros and cons!
