This is the kind of ambience I've been looking for quite literally my entire gaming career. There was something about Resident Evil and Silent Hill serene tracks I couldn't quite place. Nothing could replicate RE4's save theme for me, and THEN the RE4 Remake actually did it better. I couldn't mentally pick out what to call it, what to look for. Whatever I found was sort of linked to a "be one with nature" or "sterile sci-fi city futurism" kind of vibe. Which is fine, but not what I was seeking. Then I found your "1 hour train ride to nowhere", and I was like.. THIS is it. I've gone through your Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and Cry of Fear stuff, and it's all exactly what I've been searching for this entire time. If someone showed me this and was like "these are unused tracks from this game", I'd be willing to believe it. This is insane, thank you so much.
I love the other version, but this quieter arrangement with the ambient noises of life in the background is really wonderful and is even more up my personal alley. Thank you for your hard work, Midwich. I'll be listening to this for a while.
