I enjoyed watching all your prep and I get the not being hungry it’s only now that my daughters and son have taken over the bulk of most holidays and the cooking that I enjoy the relaxing holidays and enjoy the food. I won’t lie after years of doing it all like you it was hard to let it go but now I can really enjoy the days leading up to and the day too. This is what you can look forward to in the future 😊
What a beautiful Easter weekend you folks had. Doug on the roof was a little scary. Your church looked beautiful, Easter Vigil is my favorite mass also although I didn't go this year as it was 4 hours long. Too long for me sit so I went on Sunday. Your food looked delicious and everyone was certainly having fun. Last I want to say is you can still learn at 78. Yup, that's me still learning. Glad you folks had a great time.
What a wonderful day. It’s worth all the effort in the end to make those memories. I am like you, when I host, I barely eat the dinner. You went all out on the gift bags!
Happy Easter to you and your family!!!! Easter Vigil is my favorite mass! Unfortunately it was drizzling here in Northern NJ so we didn’t start outside.
What an awesome Easter you had. Your hot mess is cleanable so don’t stress. Your english muffins look amazing! I tried making some but they didn’t look as good as yours…maybe I need to try your recipe, except I don’t make sourdough.
Oh my goodness, I’m tired just watching your preparations. Everything looked delicious. How many crockpots do you have? I suspect you borrowed some as I can’t imagine your having that many with your decluttering bug. Has Adam ever shared his brownie recipe on your blog? It would be a fun video if he has not. We had a wonderful Holy Week. Time for you and Doug to rest after so much work on everyone’s part. Prayers for Doug continuing.
Thank you! Believe it or not, only 1 of the crockpots is not mine 😬. Well, technically 2-I borrowed one from my niece and one is actually Andrew’s from college! We host a lot, and they come in handy! I think he has shared the brownie recipe, let me see if I can find it….www.allrecipes.com/recipe/10549/best-brownies/
Oh my gosh what a process! Your rolls looked beautiful! I'm a messy cook/baker too. My sister in law said a good cook is a neat and tidy cook. I said no they're not! The best cook is messy! 😊
We spent the night at my parents’ Easter night then we walked down to Aunt Moo and Monster Joey’s in the evening and had some leftover leftovers lol!! Samantha’s favorite was the cake and the cupcakes (go figure, a 12 y/o girl 😊) my mom and I had some cabbage rolls (your brother said that’s what we had to call them since we’re Iiii-talians and my mom was so confused when I kept calling them Golumpki. “What’s a golumpki?” “It’s cabbage rolls in Polish, Mom.” “Oh, you know I love cabbage rolls!!” LOL. They were delicious! We didn’t have any pierogis though. Monster Joey probably didn’t want to share 😂 And we had some kielbasa and sour kraut. Mom ate the kraut and I ate the meat. I wish I liked sour kraut because I love cabbage, but it’s the sour I don’t like. Maybe I’ll see if just kraut can be made without being sour 🤷🏼♀️Everything looked amazing and I’m sure it tasted even better! I loved the race footage up until Adam referred to the winner as “the older guy” who you said was 31. At 43, I think I’m a little offended lol, JK!! From what I saw, I honestly thought he was my age or older too, so I guess I’m unoffended now! That didn’t last long lol. And right when I was about to as you how my Uncle ended up with a bandaid on his head, you said how he and Alex were wrestling, which I actually knew from last night. He is so funny 😂 He is such a hard working man, even in retirement, and he’s so passionate about certain beliefs, but I love how he just acts like a big kid! He’s one of the wittiest people I know with his quips and jokes about everything. I’ll have to text you with something funny he asked me then I extended the joke by having Steven answer his question a bit later. Let’s just say Steven was worried about getting in trouble for repeating a word I told him he could say that Uncle Joey used when he originally asked me. I’m cracking up just thinking about. Honestly, the least offensive of the “words we [Steven] don’t say.” And Mr. A. with his egg hunt then deciding he’d rather go grab a ball he saw 😂 He’s so adorable 🥰 Ok, that’s enough out of me. I just had to share that between your video and being at their house last night, I felt like I was part of the festivities. I miss the big holiday dinners we always had when my grandparents were alive. A huge part of me hopes we have at least one more before too many years pass by. Thanks for sharing! I’m glad I had a productive six days off work otherwise I’d feel like a bump on a log after watching all you did between cooking and church. I know how much you love it though. Today was a good day to take a break with this damp, dreary, and cold weather we’re having. Catch you Wednesday maybe for a weigh-in video but we’ll all survive if it’s a long day of chemo. Love and prayers, always ❤
Church looks beautiful.
Thank you! It’s a labor of love!

Make sourdough just for the English muffins!! No rule that you have to make bread!
Joan what a beautiful video and family! I smiled through the whole thing. You are truly blessed and loved. Thank you for sharing.
I am very blessed. My heart was so happy all weekend!

@@RiseandShineSuburbanHomestead Thank you.
Love your vlog. Fun times and memories. How's the puppy
She's doing well - we have to wait 7-10 days to get the results back - just praying it's benign
I’m the same way when I do family dinner. I always eat last and never very much
Exactly!! I think we get tired of looking at it!
Oh my gosh what a process! Your rolls looked beautiful!

Yes - I am going with the messy 😂😂😂
I loved Adams Poland shirt Joan you need a few more things to do on a Holiday . You and Doug looked beat .
We were tired for sure! He got the Poland jersey for Christmas one year-we love it!
Always enjoy your videos. Please let us know how Aria made out.
They took out a big mass and sent it for biopsy - we just pray it is benign

Love your Joey stories 😂😂😂😂😂
@@RiseandShineSuburbanHomestead hahahaha me too! He’s too much!
Joan. What is your fav Lara bar. I’d like to try them
Hmmmm....I like the cashew cookie, the lemon and the raspberry chocolate the best. I'm not gonna lie - the texture is weird and takes getting used to.
I tried peanut butter one not bad.
Omg. My baby....is Old..😅😅😅she is 31. Lol
Haha! I was laughing so hard when he said about the old guy
Do you ever sit down LOL. Did you do discard bagels or regular.
I try to sit, but it’s not in my nature! lol. I just made yeasted bagels-they were quicker for me
