Corey going from scream and intensive to melodic is the best thing about his vocals.
He’s honestly one of, if not the best at it.
On top of that, his vocals have gotten better than the AHIG cycle (in my opinion), especially live.

Every member is killing it in this song and you can hear it, Mick and Jim’s speed and riffs, Jay’s blasts and fills, V-man’s groovy bass lines, Sid and Craig with the scratching and effects, Clown and New Guy with the tribal drums and Corey doing what he does best, so many layers that work well.
How are V-man’s bass lines groovy if he’s playing what Jim and Mick are playing? Think next time.

Its incredible how musicians lately have been going back to their roots. Lots of music lately has had such a 90s vibe and its so cool to have that aura in music again.

I have to disagree, this feels very far from Slipknot’s roots to me. It’s not that it isn’t good, it’s just very different. The drums might sound generally heavier now, but the parts are less creative and the tone is compressed so hard that it squeezes the human element out of them. And the guitar tone has unfortunately been declining for years. These guitars sound ridiculously generic. That’s not on the band, the riffs still kick ass, that’s 100% on the engineers and producers.

To those wondering what this song is about. It's about how mass media (news and social) distorts the truth so much because it refuses to admit that they're wrong. The example this song uses is how the media treated the Chapletown serial killings (hence the title) by the Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe. The news media at the time reported that Sutcliffe was targeting prostitutes, and because of that, the case was steered in the wrong direction, as Sutcliffe targeted all women, not just prostitutes. The police actually interviewed him multiple times but didn't secure a warrant because they were so dead set on their profile of a 'prostitute killer' which Sutcliffe didn't match. So the case got horrifically bungled and 10 women died because everyone believed the media.

Can't explain why, but my first 2 hearings of this song, I thought it was meh. Now, months later, I'm taking a third hearing and I gotta admit, it's growing on me. I love Corey's voice. I can't even think of anyone else I think is more talented. His screams and growls and singing is always on point. Amazing how his growl has changed over time and become more raw and deep. I love it. The music is amazing and they will always be my favorite.

3:45 and 4:13 are iowa screams from what it sounds like, you can definitely hear the strainage in his voice, and the emotional fade away of the scream was very elaborate on iowa and he hasn't done that since I believe? Extremely hyped for the new album

Those are like legitimate screams. There’s technique to master if someone wants to preserve and not destroy their voice and Cory screaming here (and on Iowa) is legit just screaming and it’s so freaking awesome 😂

Doubt it. It just sounds like a loud false chord that drops away to cleans. It's not super difficult to make a safe scream sound like something off of iowa, but I seriously doubt that Corey is doing an "iowa" scream

holyyy shit dude, the guitar rhythm, a little bit of wanyk melody, self titled drums, and some screams that I'd say are the closest he's gotten back to Iowa... absolutely incredible. i have to say I didn't totally trust Corey's words about them making super brutal stuff again but this really has not disappointed at all
Im liking how much Sid got to do. Im liking how technical the song is, comparatively speaking as well. You can actually thoroughly hear the percussion as well as all the Sid/Craig stuff, the mixing is great for those but im def looking forward to hearing this in WAV, it's kind of hard to make out some of the riffs just with how much is going on + the quality
