Been watching Marvel 3 casually for over a decade and finally decided to give it a real go. I decided to play Nova since he always looked cool to me and various searches led me to this team. Very glad to find a long video covering it. Thank you for your work.
@@SmilePecoSmile that's so cool, glad this one helped you! Are you in the marvel discord? Good place to ask questions! (Easy to find if you Google it). Good luck out there!
I think one of the coolest parts of this team is just how insanely well the three characters synergize. All three characters are individually good, but together they really become more than the sum of their parts.
Great job done as always! I think the READY MADE TEAM series is an awesome idea in particular, as it can provide a starting ground for new players as well as still being a helpful ressource for more advanced players looking to dabble / understand the game better. Sparty in 2024 still cooking!! Looking forward for more
@@SpartanThrone I’d love that hahaha! A lot to gain from your perspective from your take on it!! It also fits mostly in the beginner friendly category especially if combos / confirms are kept more simple. Straightforward gameplan A and B. On the other hand, it’s not proven on the highest levels while the other two teams you covered are not only beginner friendly but also proven strong on all levels of play. But then again, you surely want to cover a more diverse selection of characters/shells longterm. Excited to see where you take this series anyway lots of good options
Ah and fair point with the Phoenix. That way you also got a non-Morri variant covered. Would personally enjoy the Dorm variant as its a stronger zoning example than the last teams and you explaining Dorm on a beginner basis is something I would be interested in thats the reasoning for that
One other thing to add is the Spencer X factor into air command grab kill to prevent Dark Phoenix from playing the game. I know it's common knowledge among vets, but new players who haven't studied a lot of replays might not know it.
So glad you covered this team, as I really want to learn this team as a pocket. Idk if you remember, but I play pretty much this team except with Wolverine as point. Both teams are fun, but glad I can learn more Nova. Thank you Sparty, you are amazing!
This video is pure gold. I'm also learning with the razer kitsune and Sparty doing this with a hitbox is such a joy. Sparty, a huge thanks for this video.
Love these videos. Think for each one of these long form videos you do, if you put out a short form companion video with just the essential tech and combos (without a bunch of hitbox drops ;) - that would also be amazing.
@@SpartanThrone Haha, nah brother, just floating ideas for more content ;) The long form videos are great, because we get the why behind everything. Just want something a tad cleaner to have on my second screen when I'm being a training mode goblin, and I'm sure others would too :)
So a little tip to get the human rocket punch into the hard tag timing consistantly every time, if you do the magic series with nova (L,M,H then S) try pressing H AND your Spencer assist at the exact same time and then hit the S into human rocket punch. This is the team I run the most so personally I’ve found this as the easiest way to get that combo down and it’s probably the most consistent thing I have down for this team
Hmmm, when I did that while experimenting it seems like I couldn't get the launch in before the Slant Shot hit? I've been leaving a teeny tiny gap between H and the assist call 😅 it's a puzzling thing !
@@SpartanThrone yeah that’s fair, you can’t leave any gap or time between your magic series H into S if you go this route. I always catch them and then after the H with Spencer assist you have to go straight into the S into the TK Rocket Punch with no gap or space between anything. Once you get it down it’s basically auto-timed but I know that not everyone is comfortable with this route so obviously do whatever you find works best for yourself
Sparty, as a 10-year hitbox vet, I suggest you try and use your right thumb to press up, and treat it like a jump button like in Mario. It makes doing tk's waaaaay easier trust me. It's how i've been doing it.
I had considered it! But I kinda don't want to hybridise my up button where I use it for some things with my right hand and other things with my left? Don't know why I don't want that, but right now I *think* I don't ? 😅😅😅
@@SpartanThrone That's entirely fair , it's hard to get used to something and then pivot to learning a different way to use that exact same thing haha. It may seem painful, but I do suggest just giving it a try for about a week or two, and then seeing how you feel about it!
Honest question here. I know that this is about meta teams but just wanted an opinion on mine. I have point Firebrand, Hulk in the 2 slot. Who would be the best anchor/anchor’s for this set up?
Those 2 are a funny pair 🤣 Some chars that could glue them together: Dante - Jam Session Doom - Plasma Strange - Bolts Rocket - Spitfire Sent - Drones Iron Man - Unibeam Arthur - Daggers Probably more options, but you need to abandon assisted/meaty unblockable gameplans with FB/Hulk and focus on having a good neutral assist to help them both.
@@SpartanThrone thanks!! I’ll have a look. A really easy unblockable after killing the point character is gamma quake and then dhc into FB luminous body to set up the unblockable with hover. Give them a go in training I reckon you might be surprised how well they work 😁
@@KleptoFG hmmm, Cap's slightly off brand for what I'm wanting to do with the series... But the other problem I have is that on the effective Cap teams I don't play any of those chars 😂😂😂😂 I kinda got away with this one cause I knew a little bit of nova and I've played a good amount of Spencer, but boy do I know nothing really of Rocket/Strange or even Cap for that matter! So it's an interesting but tricky proposition for this series 🤔
@@SpartanThrone i understand, i appreciate the consideration of my suggestion! The way I play is Cap, Doom, Sentinel. I think doom with his hidden missiles being able to cover entry with charging star and get conversions off of level 1 is really good. Then with sentinel doing basically the same thing just adding an extra layer of projectiles on the screen so I can throw shield more free in neutral.
@@KleptoFG I know Cap/Missiles is really great for him, I bet that team slaps. One issue he usually has is that his shield is a little low on durability on its own, so I bet having drones there does good work. And if they try to preemptively snipe either assist you barge through with charging star. It sounds 🔥
definitely appreciate literally any tips i can get about doing the slant shot assist > 5S xx 2369H > tag doom, this is where i got stuck trying to pick this team up. just couldn't get it consistent enough, will try some of the suggestions here
