Very nice. I would like to hear an updated review as well as what has broken so far. I was looking into one but everyone hates them. I am pretty "gentle" on my rc's though and don't really bash so I think I can make it work.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting. I think that's a great idea. Full review on it's way. So far I have been running both of my Lasernuts fairly hard and have no complaints. I ran one into a block wall and the left tire hit real hard and tore a suspension arm out of it's hinge pin. Stock parts are very reasonable and it was an easy fix. I think the main complaint is the diffs but so far I have had no issues. The cage and body panels are incredibly durable and hard to even scratch. I just upgraded the steering rack to a GPM setup and it really helped with the steering slop. Other than that I can't really say you would really need to do much to this RC. GPM and Integy upgrades are reasonable if your into mods. If your into spending big bucks you might consider Vitivon as they have insane upgrades. Honestly you don't need to do anything to this RC as it performs well stock. It could be that the newer versions of the Lasernut have the diffractals sorted out and shimmed properly. I picked up a complete stock diff with housing and outdrive cups for $50 as a spare but neither car has needed that yet.
@@shanec8812 I believe they both have similar drive trains. Although the Lasernut is a bit heavier and the tires are much larger. So I think the DB would hold up better. Essentially neither of these 2 RC's were intended to be bashed. I have ran both of my Lasernuts real hard on 3s and 4s and so far they have been doing fine. I run smaller tires if I running on 4s because moving so much mass probably would be hard on the drive train. When I say mass I'm talking about the stock tires. I keep the brake setting at 30% and try not to do donuts all day long. The cups and drive shafts seem to hold up well but there are upgrades. I may do a complete review soon and talk about all the stuff I have experienced with the Lasernut. Most of it has been fantastic. So far the only thing I have broken on either car was a front suspension arm. Cased by a hit into a block wall with the driver side tire. Some guys are running with upgrades on 6s and not having problems. Vitivon upgrades are expensive so the option for me is GPM and Integy as they both carry lots of upgrades.
Cart worship and weapon found at science. "Arrow stuck in a tree" You didn't miss much. I should visit the homeless camp down stream in the dark tunnels. Perhaps interview a couple of them? lol
@@RCRoads Hey RC, well it loaded this time and i'm quite intrigued by the "land of a thousand mounds" that you venture into at about the mid point in the video. Can you tell if that is natural or man made? Cool video as always buddy
@@RCWalletVacuum It's a very mysterious place. The mounds were placed by aliens 2000 years ago. lol Thanks for checking it out. I thinks it's probably a local dumps area where contractors put their debit back when the town was starting out. Well I'm just guessing really but sticking out of the mounds are pieces of wood concrete and plumbing pipe. Someone who owns the property probably covered it with dirt. I think the fire marshal had everyone clear the weeds this year. Weed wackers were fully deployed thought out the county. basically that's how I found them. Thanks for watching.
I really don't have enough drive time with mine to know how they will hold up. I actually have 2 of them because they were priced low. They both take some hard hits and the dog bones are holding up real well. Diff cups look fine. I'll keep you posted. Thanks so much for watching.
@@kellykuretich6366 I really wish I could be more help. The Rock Rey is an older RC? I only see used rollers on Ebay? They sure do hold their value. I hope the newer versions have been improved. What electronics and battery is in the Rock Rey?
@RCRoads the diff cups are from the vaterra twin hammers. A 2800kv 6 pole 550 motor has so much power that it sheers the 1mm screws that hold ring gear to carrier. Losi and horizon hobbies knew this and put the car out anyway. I did a review of the rock Rey with horizon hobbies and pointed out the problems in a polite way and horizon hobbies edited out the negative stuff in my review, posted the good things I reviewed.
@@kellykuretich6366 Thanks for sharing this info. It's strange how the hobby store always talked me out of ordering the Lasernut. "It's junk" "everyone returns them." "you really don't want one" The thing is I already have plenty of 1/10 scale bashers and I just though these would be good for trail runs. The problem is we all like to bash. I'm going to continue running on 3s for now and go easy on them.
Very nice 🤗💪👍👋
Thank you! Cheers!
awesome bash and spot mate..perfect slo mow😍👌
Thanks so much for checking it out. Yes indeed .. the area is plenty nice. I should go up the river bed a ways to see what it looks like. ✌
excellent stuff!
Thanks. Appreciate the visit and kind words. 👍

@@RCRoads Awesome. I appreciate the detailed update. I have a Tenacity DB and it is amazing and was hoping this would be the same.

Nice! Do you have much problems with the lazernut? I have a rock rey, suspension is awesome, the diff cups break all the time. It's a shelf queen now.
