  • The beast has arrived! Swarovski continues to own the spotting scope market by adding the 115mm objective to their ATX / STX / BTX modular spotting scope family. This joins the smaller 95mm, 85mm and 65mm options along with the binocular BTX eyepiece to round out the collection to accomplish whatever is needed with a spotting scope. Complimented by the 1.7x magnification extender and SLR attachment accessories, there isn't much left to accomplish with these spotters.
Stay tuned for the next video where I take the 115 outside for some digiscoping with the SLR.

Green box goodness! You forgot to mention the lens cap doubles as a pizza tray for personal pan pizzas.
It’s the last spotting scope that I’ll ever need...............again.

Any chance you could try and get some astronomy images at min and max power? The 115mm is for sale used near me and I’m v tempted.

Maybe some moon footage or pics, planets a bonus!

That has been my plan! I actually have some great shots through my older spotter. We've had alot of cloudy nights and my schedule just hasn't allowed me to get new ones through the 115, but hopefully soon!

@@BulletLab cool would really love to see. I watched your other vid (showing tile roof and trees etc) and one thing I’d recommend. If it’s possible it would be cool to start recording the scene BEFORE you attach the camera, so the viewer can get true appreciation of how far away objects are. I have Nikon 82mm with 60x zoom and I’ve found recordings never give proper perspective unless you include aforementioned. Maybe you’d have to edit out transition period to make it clean though.

Thank you for the informative video. I'm in the market for a top tier spotting scope and have a question for you. With the 115 mm Objective, eyepiece and magnifier, would you know if it would be possible to see 6mm bullet holes at 1000 yards on paper targets ? Thank you

Atmosphere is the greatest limiter always...and since I was seeing 6.5 holes in the white at 1k 8yrs ago before I had the 95 and then 115) I would suspect that the 95 and 115 both would allow the 6mm holes to be resolved when the atmosphere is cooperative. Not sure if the 1.7x booster would help or hinder in the case where your priority is pure resolution
