Hey Luis Gusto how are you ? I am a big fan of your videos and I myself like Chicago geography and neighborhoods. I explore and take photos of the neighborhoods primarily where I grew up and capture the changes. I actually have a good friend who lives right in the area you recorded by Arlington and Geneva. I love your work.
I just love the old classical style architecture. I hope these buildings will be well maintained in the future. These buildings are heirlooms of Chicago's historical past.
As a Chicagoan resident this makes me so proud to know that we got some dedicated Chicagoan youtubers out there and your videos are so amazing because they all us to understand more history and things to do in this big city ❤️❤️❤️
I worked in this neighborhood before the pandemic (near Clark and Armitage), and this video made me feel so nostalgic! It's truly one of the most beautiful pockets of the city.
Luis, my oldest daughter and her husband live in Lincoln Park. Your video does such a nice job of explaining why this part of Chicago is so amazing. Well done, sir. Nice work!
Hello, from Alberta, Canada, my wife and I were planning to go to San Francisco for ten days in September…… but after watching all your videos,,,, we are planning to visit Chicago…… hopefully we will enjoy it Thanks
When I thought of Chicago, I assumed high rise buildings but I am so glad to know there are areas with such beautiful architecture, putting it on top of my list to visit these areas. Your channel is one of my main sources for information on Chicago!! :)
Yea it's easy to forget about the vernacular architecture in most neighborhoods. Unfortunately, many older homes across the city have been demolished but there are plenty of historic districts where this is banned -- I'll have many more films about Chicago's historic architecture coming this year. Appreciate the kind words!
You need to be on TV. You are really, really good. I see you having a show like Alpana Singh’s “Check, Please”. “Gusto’s Chicago” is a catchy title. You’re the right demographic in terms of age, ethnicity, etc. and you have high marks for what’s called “Likeability”. You are an excellent ambassador for the city. I hope that someone with influence recognizes that fact.
I live near Arlington-Deming, and you absolutely nailed some of the best spots! Gaslight, Casati's, and Colectivo are some of my favorites, along with Frances, Del Seoul, Rangoli, and Maison Parisienne. Definitely looking forward to more neighborhood videos. I'd love to see a food tour around Lakeview!
I haven't seen this architecture too much, but it truly is fascinating. Perhaps it was in a movie or something as it does look familiar. So of these areas in the U.S. are incredibly unique and tranquil, something I didn't appreciate when I was younger.
Hey man, please let me know if you like living there. I'm thinking about moving right now and, although it seems so beautiful and calm, I am concerned about safety. However, I sincerely don't if I can trust the vitriolic articles out there. Thank you.
@6:13 heyyyyyy that’s where I always go to stay at when I visit Chicago!!! The hostel is such an amazing place the staff are outstanding and super nice. Plus it’s walking distance from the zoo which I love to go to every morning to walk around and wake up. Such a beautiful neighborhood
Your videos really helped me plan my recent trip to Chicago. Well done! Especially enjoyed your tips on Lincoln Park historic districts. Loved Casati's. Loved the vibe at D'Amato's bakery. But, ate too much there! Careful of the spicy meatballs!
When I attended college in the mid 2000’s in River North, I would make my way to Lincoln Park and walk around. Love the area! Question: is “Mellos” on Clark and Dickens now “Angry Octopus”?
What's good? Thanks for watching this mini Chicago neighborhood guide! Comment what neighborhood you wanna see!

Hey Luis, do you know which neighborhood in Chicago has the most Modern Homes?
If I had to guess, I would say South Loop since there was more space for new construction
One thing, I don’t know why
It doesn’t even matter how hard you try
