- The Tucson N-Line gets some changes from Hyundai for 2024. On the outside you will discover 19in wheels, a unique front fascia and sport exhaust. On the inside you will be greeted by sport seats, and (2) 10.25in infotainment screens. Under the hood is a 1.6L turbocharged inline-4 hybrid pared to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Don’t forget in a few hours @ 8:00pm ET Lori & I will be doing a LIVE Q & A! We hope you can make it!
no matter what the car, no matter what the model, no matter what the price, 3 things are GUARANTEED in joe's reviews:
1: fitting twinkies in side pockets
2: He's six feet tall
3: ON THROTTLE
4. To the Door Panel lol
And a few zonks
And "Let's talk about what's goin' on here!"
That black headliner really adds some sportiness
Said no one in a Tucson ever......
@@sha22276do you even own 1990 own 😏😏😏
@@Edgar876 I drive a 13 year old Honda Fit 🤣😭 and I'm commenting on this Hyundai 🤣🤣
Keep up the great work enjoy watching you're reviews, hi from IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO
The floating H badge in the rear window has always looked low-end and like a sticker.
I felt it when your ring smack on the hatch/trunk while showing that the wipers are tucked above lolol
These video titles are gold.
Joe, in the Trunk, underneath the repositionable floorboard, where you said you had room for apples and it had a removable panel (frisby)... that area is actually designed like that to place the optional retractable cargo cover there, underneath the floorboard if you need the cargo area uptop without the cargo cover getting in the way, or having to remove it from the vehicle completely as with other SUVs.
Its a neat feature.
Tire Mobility Kit is a huge zonk for me!!!
❤️Thank you Joe and Steven!❤️
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video 👍
See you and Lori tonight on the live, Joe!
Yes sir!
Joe you never disappoint with the content. Not a big fan of the Tucson but interesting approach from Hyundai. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for have my back Dave
Amazing review Joe.
Love the design inside and out.
Love the reviews, thanks Joe, Lori and Steven. PS: Joe, please stop bullying Steven 🤭😂🤪
Gotta love those MPGs. Seems to be a decent value. They have nice warranties. I believe this would be a decent investment for a young couple who is ready to acquire reliable, modern transportation. 💙✌️
Excellent points you make
Reliability? What happens when you slap a turbo on a small crappy built engine? Great car if you want to lease it for a year or two and that's about it.
@@PimpSolja49 drive responsibly. Change your oil and follow the maintenance schedule. Car will last. Race it around like a punk with little man syndrome. Expect major repairs much sooner. Don't drive these Korean cars like pissed off teenagers, and you will be alright. ✌️💙😊
i like when turn signals are in the bumper because then the rest of the lights dont mess with its visibility, and you clearly see a blinking light
For me I hate when automakers move it to the bumper. You have to adjust your eyes down to see it. It’s better when everything is in the taillight housing since it’s right in front of your eyes
On a serious note- JOE, since you’re in Florida and it’s 900% sunnier than Pittsburgh, how easy is it to see the speedo since there’s no cowl???
Hearing those MPGs really just makes me wonder why we even have EVs. Okay sure, it's cool that we have them as an option, but the fact that there's the notion that EVs are supposedly the future just doesn't make sense to me. Hybrid technology is where it's at for me. You're getting the best of both worlds folks!
Pretty nice SUV with a lot of interior room and cargo space in the back and I do like they don't have the cladding around the wheel wells, the interior is nice and I like the solid black color of the interior and headliner over a tan or light grey. I also like that it has a real 8speed trans over a CVT trans.
Actually 6 speed but I agree no CVT...
@@stevenkreiss2113 OK my bad on the number of gears. LOL
The N-Line trim doesn't have cladding around the wheels
The gas-only Tucson has an 8-speed, but the engine is a real dog, the Hybrid has a much better engine with a 6-speed.
It's good to hear that the motor and the engine blend very smoothly. That's my only concern with the congrade from the 2.5 to a 1.6 turbo. The piano black plastic being in touch areas I really hate! 2025 redesign we go!
If honda is serious about making performance oriented crv they got to come out with si or type r. A hybrid that’s sporty eh just for looks for both of them
Steven in the car!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Joe, I am looking for a compact SUV and I need AWD and would like a hybrid option 😊😊
Yes of course Joe & I would buy this instead.
That’s Car Looking good
Should have panoramic infotainment display. As is, seems underwhelming.
These are nice and the NLine was a nice idea but the CR-V just seems to catch my attention more.
It appears to be a very decent crossover for $38.5K, as they don't come cheap. 226 HP with 258 ft.lbs. of torque is plenty for the vast majority of people. It will move when you need it to do so. Its got Bose, AWD, great leg and cargo room, and comfortable seats. It is absolutely a vehicle to be considered for purchase in the Compact SUV segment!
I'll give props to having gotten rid of stick shift gear, assuming all models did.
All Hybrid Tucsons did, the ICE Tucsons still have a stick gear selector.
I love Hyundai
2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid HTRAC AWD N-Line!
"tucks in"
another nvidia tie moment here lol
Style and efficiency is great and all, but to me quality is much more important. When I buy a Honda or Toyota I feel confident I'm buying a car that will last at least 10 years with no issues. I can't say I have the same confidence when I buy a Hyundai regardless with how stylish they look.
4:15 they need to ditch the geometric stuff that is not going to age well.
I totally agree with you
Someday they will make these able to town at least 3500lbs. That’s my number one option I need but not a 3 seater.
Tucson N
🙏
Seems to me that car companies use a loose definition for “compact SUV”. Sizes sure seem to vary for “compact SUV”
All the sizes are becoming like that!
The Tucson Hybrid is awesome. The only POTENTIAL issue is the 1.6L turbocharged engine. That engine is small; and a way how Hyundai is able to keep the price so low, considering the interior is better than many luxury vehicles. To some degree, the car will be reliant on a turbo (which forces more air into the smaller engine) so it can perform like a bigger engine. There’s nothing wrong with a turbo, but on a long enough timeline, chances are you'll encounter an issue with a turbo as opposed to installing a more powerful engine. The reliability of modern turbos is hard to determine, but the people that this spec closely are those that buy used or try to hold for the life of the vehicle. Do your own research and see if it’s right for you.
An old wives tale without basis in reality... people want a 1984 Corvette with a Turbo, but are scared to buy a 2024 SUV with a Turbo because it won't last.
As with ANY engine, a well-maintained engine is far more important than non-aspirated vs Turbo engine.
I'd take a well maintained Turbo over a poorly maintained NA any day of the week.
You hear the argument on every Turbo engine vehicle, but it's just an old wives tale that isn't true.
So you’re saying a turbo doesn’t inherently add more complexity to the vehicle?
@@E_Crypto So you're saying a one cylinder engine from 1902 is inherently more reliable than a 2020 4 cylinder NA engine because it's simpler....
Ya, your logic isn't working... you just want to hate things you don't understand.
@@wolfshanze5980 You didn’t answer my question. To yours, of course not. How is that remotely the same thing? They’re a century apart. Think you have my point backwards. It’s more like a weaker/smaller engine that compensates with a turbo (1.6 L, 4 cylinder turbocharged) is inherently more complex than a stronger engine (2.0L 4 cylinder). What do you think?
CRV hybrid is better tho, more reliable
It’s kinda boring in the passenger area for a 38k vehicle.
It looks better.
I would agree with you
Looks like a bottle of glue with wheels. I don't mind it at all.
That is a first for me
I will wait until they change the design of the front end
I like this one but I prefer the Honda.
Good call brother!
38k you've gotta be kidding me lol.
Hello there.
Hey Aaron!
I think Hyundai needs to step up the Tucson to a higher grade to replace the 2 row Santa Fe since they have now gone 3 row, and eliminate all that GLOSS BLACK!!
Damn cant help i gotta use the bathroom alot 😂
Man hundai add N to everything.
5 models have N or N-Line variants - Elantra, Sonata, Kona, Tucson, and Ionic 5
That color is sexi
I skip this one and wait for the 2025 model. The interior has a more desirable design.
Mazda CX-5 beats them both
Please fix the front end design.
It actually is really bad 😭
Both Hyundai and Honda are well-known brands. They are popular for their reliability, safety, and value. Honda has a longer history and a reputation for better quality.
Hyundai is well known for engine fires and recalls. They gotta offer that 10 year warranty to win back customers!
Thanks for pointing it out ..we need to shame automakers into NO MORE PIANO BLACK and to bring back BUTTONS! I'm voting with my wallet by not buying cars with this ridiculousness. Just because you can doesn't mean you should!
In comparing the Tucson and CRV, the Tucson outperforms the CRV in almost every category EXCEPT the engine. The Tucson's smaller 1.6L turbocharged engine is likely to work much harder, which raises concerns about its long-term reliability compared to the CRV Hybrid's more robust 2.0L engine. After about 10 years, the longevity of the Tucson's turbo, especially depending on your driving habits and maintenance, might not hold up as well as the CRV’s larger engine.
Personally, I like both cars for different reasons. If you’re planning to lease or keep the car for about 5-7 years, the Tucson might be the better choice due to its superior features and performance. However, if you're looking to hold for longer timeframe, say beyond 7 years, I'd lean towards the CRV for its likely better long-term reliability.
Honda's reliability isn't what it used to be,.As for turbo engines, Hyundai's turbo engines can't be worse than Honda's Turbo's in the previos generation CRV and Civics. I'll take the Tuscon's turbo over the Honda's 2.0 for the extra power alone.
Honda CRV hybrid doesn’t have a turbo. Tucson has a turbo to compensate for the small/weaker engine. Personally, I don’t like any engines under 2.5L, but the Tucson has a 1.5L engine, which will require more RPM (work harder) to match a 2.0L engine in the CRV, thus chances it will have complications earlier. Previous generations don’t matter, Honda is reliable. And I’d say that Hyundai has improved their reliability dramatically. I like the Tucson, but if the car is a long term hold, chances are you’ll need to replace a turbo on a Tucson rather than an engine on a CRV. I’m impartial, don’t own either vehicle but tested both.
@@E_Crypto I see that reading comprehension is not your strong suit. What part of last generation CRV do you not understand? My point is Honda's reliabilty is not what it used to be. The new CRV is missing too many features compared to the competitors.
What part of “previous generations don’t matter” didn’t you understand. You’re obviously a bitter Tucson owner, that doesn’t like my comment. Well, you didn’t buy a POS but a CRV is a better vehicle. Again, I don’t own either so I’m impartial. You just made a bad decision.
Edit: you obviously don’t know anything about turbos and Hyundai added one to compensate for a garbage small engine. You probably saw all the tech and exterior features and was sold. It’s a good car but not going to last as long as a CRV even though you can’t justify why a Honda isn’t what it used to be. Anyways, I’m a Lexus owner. Have fun.
@@E_Crypto Actually, all of my vehicles are European. I started out buying Hondas and Acuras. A 2015 TLX was my last Honda product a swore to ever own. They're not what they used to be. They used to be equal with Toyota in quality and innovation. The have since been passed by Toyota and the Koreans. The "H" on Hondas stands for HAS-BEEN.
Do yourself a favor and get a Kia Sportage. Leap years ahead of the Tucson and similar pricing.
Leap years ahead?
Wow, do your research pal... did you know Hyundai OWNS KIA? They are basically THE SAME COMPANY WITH THE EXACT SAME DRIVE TRAINS AND TECH. Literally the same.
The only difference between Hyundai and Kia is name plate and styling.
"Light years ahead" from Literally sister companies... I spit out my drink when I read that.
You sir win most uneducated comment of the year award!
I don't like where the turn signals are either. I almost ran into the back of one of those, and I was like WTF! I am not buying that car.
Maybe the fault is you tailgating. . If you can't see the bumper of the car in front of you, YOU are the road hazard, not the guy with the signals on his bumper.
U can get something way better for the money
Ugh... the same rims as last N line.. yuck
First comment!
I’m so glad that you are here
Worth 25k at best.
Nope Honda is better for simply being a Honda.
Sorry, Tucson exterior looks cheap.
Nope 👎 Honda for life!
Honda is boring
I've been waiting for this vehicle to hit the USA for 2 years now I end up getting the platinum version instead because they refuse to build the hybrid version except in poland and the east. Now they give it to us and call is 2025 Nline? 🤔 naw this vehicle is 2 years old
