zitorage Yes, he had naturally full and well shaped lips. He had the sexiest lips of any actor. You have to be a female to really know what I mean. He wasn’t a pretty boy, wasn’t classically handsome even, but he had SexAppeal, a very masculine face that was perfect for his acting roles. He said that he would study a woman and in a couple of minutes would know what she liked. It was easy for him to figure people out and become the person they wanted...for a while. Great actors observe, record and then mimic what they need from real life experiences. Imagine in being in one of his Stella Adler acting classes. He ended up being great friends with her and having an affair with her as well. He never missed an opportunity. She wrote that one night, he just showed up and she was shocked. But he knew what she wanted, took his time, watched her like a cat, and when the time was right, he made his move. By that time her shock had worn off and she was ready for him. A wonderful evening took place, according to her. Marlon, surprisingly, never felt it was right to talk about any of his many women and was very private about his relationships, even though most of them had only complimentary descriptions about being with him.
I JUST REALIZED. Marlon hated his dad but loved his mom but hated the fact that his mom always worked for only his dad. He can relate to the character he played for this screen test!!!

This is a brilliant audition. There are so many boxes that an actor has to tick when they audition, and Brando ticks every box. When an actor prepares for an audition, I believe they should always look to this one as an example of how to do it. He’s handsome, he’s charming, he’s got stage experience and training from Stella Adler. He showed his range of emotions from rage, sadness, neediness etc. and he did it seamlessly. He was only 23 years old and he was already *this* brilliant. You can really see that he understood the script, that he made the character his own and you can really relate to him as well. You can really see the history behind him with this scene alone. His father was abusive and he hates him because of it, and it probably drove him into a life of crime, a life of rebellion. Brando would’ve been perfect; his father was abusive and he hated him because of it, and he admitted in *Listen to Me, Marlon* that he was feeling rebellious at this time of his life. Harold’s story was like Brando’s own story. That’s why he would’ve been perfect for the part. I don’t know how many takes this audition took as it can normally take several, and Brando was known to require multiple takes. However, the editors did a very good job on picking the right takes, as they really showcase Brando’s talent. I’m not surprised that he was offered the part afterwards, but I’m surprised that he turned it down. He would’ve been brilliant. Maybe he felt he wasn’t quite ready for this kind of role yet. Maybe it was too personal. In *Last Tango in Paris,* Brando played a role that was very personal. He made himself so vulnerable that it really bothered him, so he never made himself that vulnerable for a movie again. Also, don’t criticize Ruth Ford please. Yes, her acting is pretty dated, but this is Brando’s audition, so she was probably told to just follow him.
He not turn down this role but the movie have been canceled and after for long time they want to continue this project again and when they want to hire Marlon he was too old for the role so they search another actor. I am agree with you...he only 23 years old here and he perform like a pro actor. very few young actors nowadays are as talented as him
Really? I thought he turned it down. Then again, maybe I was wrong. I’ve gone back and looked on many different websites and they’re either saying he turned it down or it was canceled.
One of the greatest actors of all time. Every move was calculatedly realistic. No wonder he won two Oscars. One for On the Waterfront and one for The Godfather.
I am lucky that the 50s were my teenage years. To me, the guys were much sexier, everything seemed cleaner. It was FUN being a teenager and being in love with Marlon. Some people have never seen him in Guys and Dolls, a musical. He even got to sing with the lovely Jean Simmons. They were great together and he was in his prime and played the mobster to the good Salvation Army girl he got drunk. He was so subtle yet sooooo masculine. He wasn’t much of a singer, but the songs he sang were recorded in his voice with many cuts to keep him on tune and to get it right. You might have a lot of fun seeing him in this role. He loved trying new things. And once, I got to see him in person, at a news conference for high school students. I thought I would faint when he walked into the room!

Marlon Brando, so impressive. Can you imagine being a movie executive and seeing that audition tape for the first time? A diamond right before your eyes.
Something in how he speaks, his whole body is expressing, he doesn't just say the line, he emotes it with his whole bodily being at the same time. It's impossible to turn away.
This is what most movies are missing nowadays. The DIALOGUE!! The conversations between people, the arguments.. now everything is just rushed. and it sucks.Big time.
When people ask who's your celebrity crush? I always say Marlon Brando.. Then they would ask 'the godfather?'.. Me-"Yeah Johny Strabler, Stanley Kowalski, Sky Masterson. Google him when he was young" After they did, I'm like "now you know what i mean" He's charming, charismatic, rough, gentle, good, bad (but does it so well), dreamy, cute, manly, mysterious, confidently handsome.. Ok.. He's everything. What a man! Could careless what Hollywood says about him
He found a drunk lady on the way home from school one day and he brought her home to his parents so he could take care of her. I would have been proud of my kid if he had done something like that.

I’ve gone back and looked on many different websites and they’re either saying he turned it down or it was canceled.
.
One of the greatest actors of all time. Every move was calculatedly realistic. No wonder he won two Oscars. One for On the Waterfront and one for The Godfather.
Gosh he's so handsome and attractive! Sometimes I wish I was born in that generation haha (':
Breaking Julia DUDE SAME I HATE THIS CENTURY
So you could watch him on a black and white TV?
Most handsome actor ever.
@@madelinesolk5734 you are blessed to got to see marlon brando in person i was born in 2001 so i cant even give my self the hope of one day seeing him in person which makes me really sad.wish i was born in 50s..
I love the way this man talks, some people think he sounds lispy and mumbly. But I stan that-
HE WAS HOT!!
His slight lisp is adorable
He’s such a superior actor to those around him , just amazing
That man was perfect in every way.
He makes up for a straight guy like me to love him.
He's the most beautiful man i've ever seen.
The best I’ve ever seen on screen!! His body of work, naturalistic attitude gave him a different story to the picture. I aspire to be half as good as he was.
He is very good looking even for 2021 standard
I melt at that dashing smile as he says, "Oh, yeah. Truckline Cafe." Mercy.
Everyone is commenting on his face but why is no one talking about his acting!!?? That was amazing. I was so invested.
Marlon Brando the most handsome man in the world😍😍😍😍😍
the eye roll oh god.....
He did that like, " Pssshhh....i didn't like her" I read his autobio like 10x. Tallula Bankhead was a gross perv who tried to fuck him a lot. Imagine #MeToo but for Marlon. Except he never complained about it. Even when he started on Broadway and some guy grabbed his balls and he punched him in the face.
Damn I wish I were this handsome.
I know I'm a guy - and a straight one, but damn is he good-looking! Terrific actor, possibly the greatest actor who has ever lived. Thank you so much for uploading this.
I'm married 3 kids and a dog and just realised Im gay from watching this
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Marlon Brando, so impressive. Can you imagine being a movie executive and seeing that audition tape for the first time? A diamond right before your eyes.
Something in how he speaks, his whole body is expressing, he doesn't just say the line, he emotes it with his whole bodily being at the same time. It's impossible to turn away.
god damn this man was gorgeous
He knew he was extremely handsome.
Google him when he was young"
After they did, I'm like "now you know what i mean"
He's charming, charismatic, rough, gentle, good, bad (but does it so well), dreamy, cute, manly, mysterious, confidently handsome.. Ok.. He's everything. What a man! Could careless what Hollywood says about him
He found a drunk lady on the way home from school one day and he brought her home to his parents so he could take care of her. I would have been proud of my kid if he had done something like that.
He was a beautiful soul. Greatest actor and also the most good looking man ever to grace Hollywood. A legend in his own lifetime.
the way he bites his lip unnnggggh
the sexiest man in history.
He was one of the first if not the first to use the chat on internet. One day someone reckonised his voice...
As a straight guy I say you are right. Frightening how good looking he is
i've been liquified. im a puddle on a floor if you need me...
hilarious!
@Queen Tanukana gonna slay yo bitchy ass lmao
OobooChoo ....Liquified is exactly how I felt watching him on the big screen in the 1950s and 60s. Even when he got fat and lost his looks, he somehow was still mesmerizing to watch.
Damn you’re thirsty lol
