- Sorry for uploading yet another Balthazar solo, but I was bored and wanted to see how low I could get this kill time! I'm basically using the raid/fractal meta build for condi weaver here for all out offense!

I am such a huge fan of the female Asura voicework! Definitely my favorite and elementalist/weaver being a fairly chatty class as far as that goes just makes it even better!

Have you tried that with buffed power? It can finish with 40-50k dps. It destroys most hero points with just the raid opener and barrier stance.
I'm trying the same thing on my ele in Trailblazers, but he always hits me so hard I can never survive long enough to start the CC at 50% despite moving off the fire patches. What's your secret?
If I had to guess, I'd say you must not be dealing enough damage. One of the tricks to this fight is that the boss has significant downtime. You gain about 5 seconds upon killing one of his dogs and another 5 seconds on the breakbar plus a few seconds during the sword raise before the break. In a 23 second kill like this that means the boss doesn't attack for half of the fight. But the longer the fight takes the less of an impact this downtime will have, potentially forcing you to play defensively in order to survive. This further reduces your damage output, creating a bit of a snowball effect.
Potential reasons for low DPS beyond the obvious poor rotation? The biggest outlier on this fight is the boss's tendency to move away from you to create distance and utilize his ranged attacks. Ideally, you want to stand toe-to-toe with him and minimize dodging and movement. This will make it less likely that the boss runs away from you. This is particularly important during your weave self window where your damage is much higher than normal. If you waste this time chasing the boss around the fight will take longer and you may run into problems.

Build still viable to date?
Using Trapper rune with torment/earth sigils and fractal relic post-SotO. I also swap out glyph of elemental power for signet of earth. Trailblazer is probably a better option with similar damage and far more sustain. See my more recent videos.

Nothing illegal! Just the magic of jade tech protocol masteries giving solo players access to every boon in the book! Although, I can probably manage close to 30 seconds without the mastery, which is still pretty good!

Honestly, in the current group meta of overtuned ranged DPS, it needs it! Or, you know, they could balance ranged DPS properly like they used to. But for solo all I could really ask for is some self-quickness so I don't have to use jade tech to hit these times! Pretty please, ANet??
@@HardcoreCasualGW2 I don't play much group content so for me ele is one of my most powerful characters. I will probably always main engi and Thief just because I've put so many hours into them, but I will admit my ele is super fun and I feel almost godly now that I've gotten more familiar with him. The only thing I don't like about sword weaver is lack of range but when I'm just questing or doing maps I slot mobility utilities
