My husband and I were between this resort and Caribbean Beach for our first anniversary trip coming up this summer. Everyone except one person told us to book Coronado hands down. Thank you for all the helpful info!

Glad we could help in your decision. 100% Coronado over Caribbean Beach in our opinion. Happy early anniversary!

Our multi-family group stayed at Coronado Springs for our last WDW trip and loved it. The resort is gorgeous with striking Spanish Modern/Mexican/Southwest US architecture. The design is more sophisticated than many resorts, but you will find that there is a subtle homage to the Disney heritage everywhere if you look. We had rooms in the Gran Destino Tower that are larger than any other "moderate" WDW rooms and larger than some "deluxe" resort rooms.
Restaurants are good to excellent, but we weren't able to dine at all of the restaurants. (Toledo is a great "date night" dinner location with 16th floor views over the WDW property). We wanted to try "Three Bridges" restaurant, but the wait times were always longer than our patience.
Downside of Coronado Springs is that the resort is huge, with lots of walking if your room is located away from the central location. Within the WDW property, Coronado Springs is 10 minutes from Animal Kingdom, 15 minutes from Hollywood Studios and Epcot, and 20 minutes (or more) from Magic Kingdom, but only 5 minutes from Typhoon Lagoon.
We all agreed that we would stay at CS next time we go.

You perfectly summed up why we keep going back to this resort. Too bad you didn’t experience Three Bridges. It’s a great atmosphere. Next time! 😉

@@MapleMickey Yep, Next time! Unfortunately at WDW there is "more to see than can ever be seen, more to do than can ever be done."

What time do the buses start running?

They guarantee 45 minutes before park open and one hour after park close. Although we found they would start running earlier than that most days.
