Sir do club cricketers need gym?? I am 16 year old and looking to play for my district U-19 team... Because at this age, I am doing a lot of balance between cricket and study so too much fitness work is very difficult
You can train at home just find a balance between body weight exercises and cardio. If there is a ground or open space you can have someone bowl you and you can practice shots that you want.
Dude, you need to find time to do fitness, its such an important part of cricket and any sport. do 3 cardio sessions a week, sprints and longer runs, and do 3 explosive power and or weight sessions a week.
I dont quite understand the flamingo thing. If I lift my back foot, aren't I losing my balance too far forward or likely to fall sideways too? If I kept back foot grounded, wouldnt that be a more stable base? Juat an amateur village cricketer here looking to get better!
The main point is, if you lift your foot and you are able to keep your balance over the front foot, you are perfectly balanced. It shows that your head is over the ball but close enough to your front foot to not fall sideways 💪🏻 hope that clarifies it
