    That might have been the first time he actually hit the ball, he stood there until people said run, at this age the catcher looked beyond the game and helped someone to solve a problem, whether the game was won or lost this young man has already won in life.

    I spent many years watching my son play baseball. The vast majority of time the boys all helped each other, no matter what teams they were on. Excellent experiences for the boys and the moms!

      @@hunterhills3047 I remember a highschool football game where our HC and the opposing HC met at half time and decided just no QB hits and the second half was basically a scrimmage for fun. Both teams were trying out the wildest plays they had. We were 56 - 3 at half time and that game ended 56 - 5 in the end. Our coach literally had us take a knee in the end zone, giving then a safety. Then he made us run the field for probably 30 minutes after mondays practice. He didn't enjoy the win and felt like we enjoyed it a bit too much. (The mercy rule and celebration bans came in the year after I graduated (2017).
