It's very good. I wonder how much was him just not wanting change a brooding classic, and how much he just couldn't be in any other frame of mind with this song? I mean, he's gone through his share of stuff in the not too distant past (with the ex, and all) and now he's on the road. I can imagine the "feeling all alone" thing has peeked in even though he's with friends. Even if it wasn't already, going through the hours with this song would probably bring all that energy to the forefront.
This song always feels melancholy and it's kind of what I love about this song, but his breakdown (for me) added a sense of frustration. Almost like he's tired of feeling that way. Another one of my favourites from him.
I'm gonna go really old soul on you...it used to be that you knew you'd "made it" when you were turned into a cartoon character on the Flintstones. Then, it was if Weird Al parodied your music. Now there's Leo. And while he usually does his own spin, most artists should be flattered to have him cover their song. This one, he treated with such respect that I think even Kurt would've appreciated it.🤘
Leo knocked this out of the park so many emotions in this song and he nailed it one of my absolute favorites from nirvana this song reminds me that I am real
Sighs I always get stuck at work, but I watched it yesterday. You're right this isn't just serious for Leo, it's just plain serious. I've seen this a couple of times (Easy on Me, the accoustic Fast Car with Mary Spender, the live version of Breathe) but this is truly dark. And as much as we need to laugh, sometimes we just need to know someone else feels it too. Thanks Leo and thanks Old Skule!
I would argue that. This is magnificent and his "intense/serious" covers are some of my favorites...but it doesn't top Mama for me! Right up there though! A couple of other "serious" faves of mine are his cover of Hurt by NIN and his acoustic cover of Sober by Tool.
Yes and that one is waaayyy up there among my top faves of his. Along with his acoustic cover of Sober by TooL. 🖤 Made my dark little heart go pitter-pat for sure!
This song... It reminds me of a 16 year old kid spent years finding out that bridge was under Young Rd, on an album that Chris Novaselic mocked Jesse Colin Young, who shared a birthday with Tobi Vail. He grew up to make this comment on this very post.
I don’t often say this, because it’s borderline sacrilegious…. but this could be better than Nirvana’s version. You’re right. He does sound a lot like Kurt in the verses.
MANY of Leo's covers are of songs I have never heard from the original artist. Partly because he sometimes picks songs from genres I don't listen to, sometimes because I have to listened to music radio (other than the occasional "oldies" visit) in over a decade and a half.
I honestly think that Static X should try and convince him to join them as leading vocal cause he is able to come very close to what Wayne Static unique style was...
This is one of the best

Wow..just wow
This was brilliantly done ... Not that it's shocking, it's Leo after all
Not surprising that it's brilliant, but also not surprising that he kept it dark and serious.

So great to hear a different side of Leo,

One word: Jeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
Leo knocked this out of the park so many emotions in this song and he nailed it one of my absolute favorites from nirvana this song reminds me that I am real
I actually loved this more serious Leo. It was awesome...
Leo did turn up the feels on this one. Feels like an "ode to" perhaps.

Absolutely one of my new favorites from Leo. Iam a huge fan of nirvana and grunge in general. Leo did very good on this one.
I feel this was a complete masterpiece, definitely above Mama and that was beautiful. Very special

No one could cover it like this
I can add another to that playlist, Leo covered Hurt by Nine Inch Nails as well.

Excellent! He's also done Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun. Awesome!!

Check out Leo's covers of Highway Star and Black Night for some real British heavy metal!

I agree..this was intense.

Leo Mor-a-CHEE-O-LEE should do Mad As a Hatter by Larkin Poe. It just fits him
This one was just musicianship all the way through
This song should be in video games
I honestly think that Static X should try and convince him to join them as leading vocal cause he is able to come very close to what Wayne Static unique style was...
cashing in on the fact that this song showed up in the new batman?
make your own videos dude
