I actually found something that works almost the same way, it's called an abrasive cleaning eraser and it works really good for cleaning your belts and giving them a little more life... I've never tried a diamond dresser, but I did buy a diamond sanding block for knocking down the seam of belts 240 and higher, so you don't get that bump when finishing.. Great tip, have a great day, take it easy.....
The erasing block helps with cleaning the belts. Gets old particles out. They work great. But this diamond dresser will cut new grit for you on 36 grit belts.

Hi mate it’s not for cleaning the belt it cuts the abrasive so you get fresh grit.
