Triang Vintage Princess Elizabeth Train Set, Loft Find Will It Still Run After 30 Years ?

This Triang train set has been in the loft for over thirty years the question is will it still run ? from 1962 this trainset has been stuck in the loft until a customer brought it to the shop and sold it to me. now here's my advice when buying vintage trains, unless you know what you are doing don't ! and guess what i didn't follow my own advice which is, always check there's enough track in the box to run the train, make sure you have a safe power supply, check the carriages and tenders connect together and aren't damaged or broken.and always see the train running before you buy it.
i certainly don't make things easy for myself, i bought this train from a really nice guy and wanted the money to go towards some parts for a car he was restoring, and like i said i thought it would make a real good toy tuesday video to see it running, as i've done the live steam stephenson's rocket and the vintage hornby train sets in the past, they've had their issues but this set was a total punt as to whether it would run ! and it didn't ! luckily we had the parts and technology in the toy museum to get it running ! so it was great to be able to get it back on the track ! Now if your passing by the shop or coming to blackpool why not pay us a visit and see some of our displays ?
