No, you don't want to scream like her. She's taking a one way ride to a town called blown up voice. She's pulling it of, sounding good but she's straining her throat which causes her voice to decay little by little over time.
@@welcometothenightmareinmyh5336 Vocal distortion does not lead to a blown out voice if done correctly. There is no straining in proper technique. If screaming correctly, the distortion does not come from the vocal folds, but rather the other tissues in the mouth. There is no negative consequences. If done incorrectly, the distortion comes from slamming and straining the vocal folds which can cause major damage. Lzzy Hale clearly demonstrates proper vocal technique in her singing not only because the distortion in her voice is strong and consistent, but because she's been doing this for over five years with no vocal damage or problems. If her technique was improper, she would've had irreversible vocal damage in a month or so.
@@marrusorthocanna1897 True, true. But she is forcing her throat. You can hear it live. I'm not hating nor is it my intention. I love halestorm but facts are facts. Why does she have problems with frequent singing above F5 nowadays? Compare the newest live video of Takes My Life with any from 2008-2011. She was able to pull off high notes with support while forcing her throat, but it is slowly giving up on her and you can hear it live.
@@welcometothenightmareinmyh5336 If her screaming resulted in any vocal damage whatsoever she would have much more problems than "not being able to sing above f5". Improper singing technique leads to vocal nodules, which can have effects like hoarseness and uncontrollable voice cracks. They also cause severe pain when talking or singing. If she had been straining her throat every single day for over five years, she would have developed these long ago. Considering she is still able to sing strong clean notes and clearly has good control over her voice, it's clear to see no vocal damage resulted from her screaming.
@@welcometothenightmareinmyh5336 In short, wanting to sing like lzzy is not a bad thing and distortion does not strain the throat nor damage the voice if done correctly.

Best thing about Halestorm.....they still know how to keep a "groove" in their rhythms. So many of these modern-day hard rock/metal bands lost that 70's and 80's groove. Godsmack and Jack White are two really good examples who also "get it", like Halestorm does. 😎👍

I am 63, I was alive when the Beatles were still playing together. To me, there is something Beatles-que to this band, the way they put their songs together, their good harmonies, am I so wrong?
I'm 72 years old and heard all the Beatles songs. My husband and I bought over 5,000 different albums, had close to 5,000 CDs, and not any Beatle album or 45 or cassette or 4 track or 8 track!
