What causes the plane to veer right. Aren't able to adjust the trim for that?

I do, and I am sad that there was one of the Corsairs local to me that was flown in the show...but had a landing accident in 2019, and is now up for sale, "as is". :-(

That's called P-Factor or also known as asymmetric blade effect and asymmetric disc effect, is an aerodynamic phenomenon experienced by a moving propeller, where the propeller's center of thrust moves off-center when the aircraft is at a high angle of attack.
I was going to mention that very thing...but saw someone else had already.
That aircraft is sweet. It is reminiscent of stories of Greg "Pappy" Boyington I have heard in the past. I hope someday to be as good of RC pilot as you. My confidence level needs work. Greetings from Montana.

GREAT video, I totally agree about the LiPo advice too many flyers rely on the percentage remaining after a flight, I always look at the remaining volts per CELL, it's more reliable+++ Sometimes the percentage can be misleading.
Love this aircraft; my local shop has the PNP in stock, and a BNF arriving in 6 days… pretty sure I’m going to snatch it up.

When I was a kid, I remember watching the Baa Baa Black Sheep squadron TV show about Pappy Boyington and the VMF-214 Black Sheep squadron. So I have seen a lot of the F4U in flight. You did a fantastic job, Nate, of flying that bird scale!
Did you know that there was actually three designations for the Corsair, depending on the manufacturer? The designations were the F4U made by Vought, the FG-1 manufactured by Goodyear, and the F3A made by Brewster. Goodyear also created the up-engined Goodyear F2G Corsair, with 700 more Horsepower (from 2,300 to 3,000), of which only 10 + 1 prototype were built.
There was a flying Goodyear FG-1 (Bu No 92106) just across the river from me that I had hoped to see in September at the Ottawa-Gatineau airshow, but in it had a runway excursion in 2019, and they had said they were going to rebuild it, but they very recently put it up for sale, "as is". I hope someone does buy it and restore it, since it is one of the aircraft that was used in the filming the Baa Baa BLack Sheep TV show!

Of all the warlords the F4U CORSAIR is my ALL-TIME FAVORITE. It's inverted gull-wing give it a distinctive appearance. It's appropriately named the whistling death because it was responsible for winning the battle of Pearl Harbor.

I just bought the Carbon Cub S 2. The one that comes with the Flight Simulator. Just put it together yesterday. I'm a rookie and looking forward to flying for the first time. I love the Corsair. I want one. Re phrase that. I'm going to get one after I learn to fly the Carbon Cub and get some experience. I'm addicted already to this new Hobby LoL! Oh quick question, can you bind that plane to the DXS Cub Transmitter?

Have you flown it off grass? Love the plane, but my field is 1 - 1 1/2" fairly, but not fairway, smooth grass.
Should be ok on grass. If u have trouble nosing over try take off with no flaps. Will help keep the tail down

If you forget to setup your aircraft correctly do you not think it’s a better idea to land it and set it correctly and begin again rather than continue to fly with an aircraft that’s out of trim?
I had one set up so bad the other day I needed almost full up elevator to keep it airborne. Could barely land it. Minor damage hope to have it working better for the second flight
How are you guys going to manage with the "Remote ID issue", seems a real show stopper.
Okay, so this is not a commercial. HOWEVER, you said the Arrows 1.1m Corsair flew well on a 3S 2200, but @BrianPhillipsRC uses a 4S 3200 to tame its inherent tail-heaviness. I bought it for the lights, but he did all kinds of mods to get full flaps and better trim.

In addition to Strong Right Rudder, you can fly the tail with down elevator, and get it off the runway in a hurry.

You should fly earlier in the day every thing to camera left is just a black shadow ...it does fly well love the flaps and retracts.

It takes a lot to destroy one, I have repaired them after trees, poles, and Mother Earth , only have had 2 that were beyond repair in several years. 5 minute epoxy some carbon rod s or tooth picks and some CA and maybe gorilla glue. A little paint bang your back in business.😁. Keep the blue side up🆙⬆️

I want to buy this Corsair, but I only have the DXS ( comes with carbon cub s2) and I don’t believe there is a switch for retracts. Can anybody confirm if this is true?
DXS is pretty limiting. Get a radio(multiprotocol like TX16s mkII), you can fly all Spektrum planes
You'll be able to use the retracts but you will not be able to use the flaps

The cheaper one does not come with the receiver. The bnf means bind and fly and all u need is your radio and batteries.

I don’t agree with this review. The first 3 times I tried to take off the retracts pulled out. Until I put screws through the wing. And I stalled it and it spiraled in and broke in half.
