As a veteran gamer I think gaming as a whole is doing really well today, despite all the whining on social medias. Last month, for example, lot of genuinely great games came out on PlayStation Store. Nice little small budget adventures, puzzle games, and indie games. Great, unique stuff from small studios. There is lot to enjoy if you just ignore the biggest AAA products and give smaller and cheaper games a chance too. Of course, what also keeps my gaming fresh and happy is all the 'retro' games I play on PS1, PS2, N64, PS3 and 360. Some weeks I do not even turn PS5 on when I'm so focused on retro stuff.
