I’m glad the planner community is showcasing other planner brands. I’ve used a Plum Paper planner since I started planning. I love the customization. Thanks for the video.
They have to add the extra week because the planner can start any month you want and can make it go for as many extra months you choose. It just makes sure that when they produce them and set up the planner for the month you choose that you’ll always have the right weeks :)
1) Plum Paper has definitely had the dashboard for several years before you would have seen it elsewhere.😳 2) The duplicate weeks are because you can start your Plum Paper on ANY month you want so for printing purposes it makes it easiest on the number of files they have to create. 3) You made me order a daily and that’s what I’m sticking to.😂😂
I had plum paper for 5 years and this year switched to EC. It’s nice seeing more content including the plum paper planner now.
Thank you! Even if The Life Planner ends up being back in my rotation, I want to make sure it’s not the *only*brand I’m showcasing
Julie! If i ever make a planner...there will be a colorway called Julie that will have no peach! Lol
Omg THANK YOU !
What, did you say extra peach?
I'm right there with all of ya...I can't stand peach. There's just something about the color that screams something not nice!
Love it! LoL!
@@craftingaplannedlifejoanna9291 Not a peach fan either, haha!
When you order your planner, you can add a note on the order to make the cover removable. :)
May is Mother's Day so Im pretty sure that's why they make it peach. I love peach so I never mind. lol
Good to know! Thank you!
Question: will you be doing daily PWM's? Like you did with the EC DPP? I'd love to see how you plan to use it!
I literally have not ordered one because I have been waiting for your video lol I absolutely fell in love when I realized I can customize the pages to target my home life. Like my kids, home, work.
I’ve been using a frankenplanned PP Hourly and Daily for a couple of years now for my at home planner and it’s been planner peace for me. I use the sharpie pen without issue and I prefer the smooth paper.
I like that the weekly pages are in the correct month ... even if the days are doubled up. I use my EC to put down daily statistics and I hate that some of my days are in wrong month.
I’m excited to get my Plum Paper next week.
I'm a lefty and my fave pens to use with my PPP is Micron Pigma, Papermate Flair and Staedtler Fineliners. No issues with smudging or bleed-through.
I use permanent markers on the monthly dashboard page.
Good to know!
Thanks for sharing I love using papermate flairs in my planners and wandered how they would work!
I’m excited to try the 5X7 plum paper! Currently using the EC petite daily planner but I actually removed the stitching went to OfficeMax to get it coiled because I agree with you coil planners for life!
I’m left handed & the .5 sharpie s-gel doesn’t smear at all, even without waiting. & I feel like I have a heavy hand as well.
I've been using Plum Paper A5 dailies as my "done" planner since last fall and love them. I'm looking forward to checking them out next year for the hourly or one of the vertical layouts for a weekly planner.
Excited to see Plum Paper on your channel. I use their Homeschool planner and it is AMAZING. I love all the customizations this company offers. I hope you love your new planners. :)
I might need to try out that daily! I honestly had written off PPP thinking the paper would be too smooth but we will see!!
So glad to see more people using this. I have been using the a5 daily for a year now and I love it. I’m not a fan of the colors scheme at times and I hope that’s something they can change in the future. They don’t seem to listen as much though to customers...Hopefully that changes too because they really have a great line, just needs some updating.
I hope you stay with PP we need more videos.
I think the reason there are double weeks is because they let you start at any month and it makes it easier on them to quickly assemble. Thanks so much for the review. I’m trying Amplify, but thinking of the plum paper teacher planner. I’m also embracing the change and discovering so many wonderful new planners and people.
I love the covers you chose! So pretty 😍 Thank you for the great review, the pen test was super helpful!
I had been looking at these for ages and finally ordered 1 and it arrived yesterday. I'm going to give it a real try because this woman needs lines or it's crooked all over the place! Glad you did this review!!!
Yes they have interchangeable covers - I forget when they did that but it’s been a while. They offer a lot more customization options which us nice. Style-wise I prefer EC. It just seems more sophisticated and more like a fancy planner versus one from Target. The PP is a little generic in style to me for the price.
It’s an A5 (5.8” x 8.3”) planner not 5x7 (your daily).
Thank you! I kept saying 5x7 and I was like wait.... A5 is not 5x7 🤦🏻♀️🤣
I'm okay with that! Pls do review all the planners! I love seeing the differences. I love the covers you chose, they're beautiful yet simple!
I have heard the reason for the doubled week is you can start any month. Makes it easier for them to allow the any month start.
Ohhhhh that makes so much sense!
I am SO glad there’s more Plum Paper content now. Thanks for this! Also, I use the Sharpie S Gel .7 and it really doesn’t take long for it to dry down. I’ve not had any problems (as a righty).
Yeah the sharpie s-gel is a fave of mine!
I prefer the Erin Condren colorway but I love the Plum Paper Planners. The quality and price are unbeatable. I am on my 3rd year because of the A5 size. I mixed them up with EC products.
Julie, your voice and tone is so "back to Julie" in this video. It brought me so much joy watching it and I can sense your excitement. I'm stoked to watch you plan in this!!
Thank you so much!
I always trust your opinions during your reviews. I’m looking forward to seeing how you like planning in the plum paper planner.
when I have a double-up week that is grayed out, I chose which week has the most color, or that makes sense to me, and I glue the other week together. its easy, and I never really notice the difference, I also use the larger planner (9x11). Sometimes I like the grayed-out weeks for being extra creative (using all the things) and making something different, moving into the new month.
I love all the colors. I love all the peach. Can’t wait to get mine.
Great review! I am really considering this for my next planner. :) Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts.
Hello Julie.❤️ I don’t know if I ever told you that I don’t do any kind of daily planning but I do love watching you do your daily planning and also when you are showing a new item, you really are very good at explaining what the product is and also, if you have already used the product you are excellent at telling your honest opinion. I do hope you have an awesome and restful night and God bless you always! Sue(Clearwater, Florida) 👼❤️🙏🏻😘🌸💕🌴🤟🏻🌼🌺😇❌⭕️❌⭕️. pS: I miss you doing your vlogs.
I can't believe you didn't mention that Saturday and Sunday each get a full page!😊 I have my daily duo waiting to start in January but this smaller size has me wanting to try! You're going to get me in so much trouble with all your reviews!
I know 😔 I completely missed that
I really feel like someone needs to create a planner with different colorful color ways. I feel like Plum Paper could totally do this! I want an Emily Ley color way in a plum paper planner with all of the customizations! LOL
Yes! PP has had the same color way for yeeeeears. I would love to see a rainbow or just switch pinks in for peach!
I'm with you!
I got my first daily plum paper planner a year ago for work and i love it!! I switched to the daily duo to try and I’m so conflicted Bc i love my plum paper planner
Thanks for the review. I agree that you probably should not customize. I did and now I am covering up my own customization every week. I did plan in the wrong week once and then went through and glued all those extra weeks together. Also, it's great to get kits for the monthly dashboard because that page is hard to write on without stickers.
Thank you!! I've been thinking about switching to Plum Paper, but the customizations seemed a little overwhelming. This makes me even more committed to trying Plum Paper for next year!
Loved your video! I’m a long time PPP user - the purpose of the duplicate week is because you can pick the start month! So they can give you all of the days of the month. And when you order, you can put a note in the box at check out for the covers to be removable on the spiral notebooks :) hope this helps!
So helpful! Thank you!
I love plum paper but the paper is too smooth for me 😭 I agree about the extra week in the back lol I glued one of the weeks together so I wouldn’t mess up
Julie!! Really? This is amazing, never heard of this company! I’m so loving
I am defff ordering the daily PP in the 5x8 size! When I used Plum Paper in the past, I snipped off the cover and snapped my EC covers on it!👍🏼😍
I also glued the duplicate pages together which was a chore but prevented me from messing up!
Just got mine yesterday and am so excited! Thanks for the review.
Thank you for the review. I’ll have to check out these planners. I’m torn on whether to finish out my EC or stop now and move to a new one. It took me so long to find one I liked, now I’m moving on again 😔😔.
I just ordered a plum planner and I cannot wait to see it. I’m a coil girl! I loved EC planners but I’m branching out looking for some new options......I got some customizations and stickers and I can’t wait to see it
Can’t wait to see your spreads on the daily! I’m really considering the 5x7 but always worried it was too small for my needs.
I used an EC and plum paper for one year. I ended up ditching the plum paper because I just couldn’t keep the paper from smudging and I really did not like that weird extra week thing they do at the beginning and end of the months. I do like the price point though!
Wow. I am really impressed with these Plum Paper Planners. This was very informative. Thanks for the videos.
Great review! If I were ever to go coil, I think I would try this one. I would use that last notes page for a monthly highlight/memory spread. Your live was fantastic, btw.
Thanks Bev!!!
I love using my flair pens in plum paper planner
I’m going to try those!
My first planner was a PP-love the customizations but the paper drove me crazy as it’s so “slippery” to write on. Also the cover options were lacking. Quality just wasn’t there so that’s how I landed on EC. Good review! Hope you find a new planner you love!!
Thank you thank you thank you. I’ve been looking for a good plum paper review of the hourly as I’ve seen the daily before. I think I may have take the leap and grab one!
Hi Julie! I’m excited to try the plum paper planner after your review! Would love you to share your code with me. Thanks so much and happy planning!
Just send me your email address!
@@JuliesPlans just sent you it through Instagram message
Love this daily for a work planner... thanks Julie!!
I used Plum Paper years ago when they were still on Etsy working out of a garage. 🤣 The paper is smoother and doesn’t grip like EC so it will be an adjustment. Mine should be arriving this week. I got monthly with notes pages between. I used EC deluxe monthly last year til I got bored in Covid and bought a vertical. 🤣🤦🏻♀️ I’ve already been eyeing monthly kits. Haven’t ordered yet but ever changing plans on Etsy has very cute kits.
I just got a plum paper planner too and was thrown off with the double week pages (like end of July and beginning of June) but I use one of those as a template of how I want to set up my days and weeks. I usually make a copy of the page to play around with layouts but I really like have a "test" page built in.
Super excited to see you trying Plum Paper. I am making a transition too and I thought it was going to be back to my Makse, but I have a few issues with it (to my utter sadness). I ordered a Plum for my monthly deluxe budget replacement, an A5 vertical for wellness/fitness, and a 7x9 vertical for weekly. I'm already missing the daily though, so will I order a 4th? That's so extra, but maybe in the fall when I start back to work. I got sucked in by the extras... And I made a note asking for the covers to be made interchangeable and also noted the order I wanted my add ins. EC says customizable, but THIS is what customizable looks like. Sorry about the peach. :( Thanks for the pen test!
Thank you for reviewing this! I am in an EC lifeplanner, but am looking to change that for many reasons. I am looking at disc bound options because I need flexibility in moving pages around (a binder did not work for me). I'm now considering the PPP because I like their neutral color and the customization AND you can get it unbound to punch for discs (or whatever else your binding heart desires)! The ultimate in customization without going full bullet journal. ;)
Any thoughts you have on disc bound systems would be great. Thank you for being you!
The daily is my favorite, i will go back to it from the EC Duo for work. Idk why I switched but I want to finish up my daily duo’s :) i do use the vertical pp and the priorities pp
love the small size!
awesome review.. can't wait to see your journey... Heck you might have a different planner for each month .. I am all for it
Hahahaha exactly!
LMAO I died at the peach section!!!! Omg Julie!
Great review! I just can't with the Plum Paper colorway. I hope in the future they will offer the 5x7 daily in neutral.
A neutral would have been awesome!
I feel like the extra weeks would bother me haha, but that's because I'm so used to functioning within a week. I even started my new year on December 28 because that's when "January" started in my EC planner.
Thank you so much for doing this! I'm pretty sure I'm going with a Plum Paper planner for next year (I do calendar, not academic). I don't like the greens or orange (aqua, turquoise and teal are fine, and I can live with the pale peach), but I don't think I want the neutral layout. My only concern is with the smaller coil and adding stickers to each monthly and / or weekly spread (I only do weekly). Might have to get picky about which weeks I add stickers to.
How is their shipping? You’ve gotten me in so much trouble this year buying all of the things lol i think I want the daily. I’ll check out their site at some point today.
About a week to get to me!
Julie’s Plans I sent you a msg on IG if you still have a code available.
How do you feel about the paper? I had an EC last year and just received my Plum Paper. I love the customization but I wish the paper quality was the same as EC 🤦🏾♀️ #firstworldproblems
love this video! they repeat the end of the month since you can start the planner any month of the year. that being said, it bothered me enough that I couldn't go with PP again this year.
Thank you for kind of walking thru these! I've been considering their planners for a little while now, and this helps alot! I did go to their site last week sometime and I love all the customization they offer - definitely more than EC, and a little more than Happy Planner - which I've been using HP for almost 2yrs. I love being able to take out months of it when a month is done, but I can pull it from my drawer to go back about something. But I think it might be time to try a coiled planner and see how it goes. Thanks again Julie for your thoughts and review on these planners!
(by the way, I make sampler holders for PK - would you be interested if I send you some to review?)
If you prefer discs, you can order it unbound and then punch the pages yourself for a disc bound planner.
Loved your review! Have you tried any pens on the dashboard page yet? I am not sure which pen I want to get to use on it since it's laminated and slick according to others.
Enjoying the no quotes!!!
I’m waiting still on my duo but I’m actually digging this smaller size more!!
The double week is what allows people to start their planners whenever they want. I usually just glue the page with the least color. I second the feelings about peach lol I have a May birthday and hate that just about every planner makes May peach 🤣
love the customization of this planner but I'm with you I wish they would change the color of their tabs. Also, I would cut the plastic cover off too! LOL!!
I would just glue the pages of the extra week together.
Exactly what I do in my Homeschool planner. Problem solved 😁
This is what I do.
I really like the 5×7 daily, i would love a 12months. Hopefully I feel like planning again next year. I've only used my current planner in January I think. I hate wasting money but I can't force it.
They make a year long daily planner as well. You pick either a 6 month or 12 month daily when you customize the planner. The smaller size is actually A5.
I really want the coiled weekly in 5x8. I think that would be my happy place.
Are you going to try the Agendio? They are prob more customizable than plum and I would like to see how they compare. That and the Golden Coil. I have always been driven to them for some reason.
I love this! I have definitely felt like trying a ton of new planners :)
The reason for the extra pages is because you can start your planner in any month. I use glue dots to glue whichever pages I dont use
The extra week was something I didn’t like, but I picked the one that was more colorful and then taped the other one together.
Is the ink color still the purple-gray? That’s what threw me off a few years ago - I don’t mind gray but not the purple hue
Thanks for the review!
I have a weekly planner (not Plum Paper) but want to add a daily planner, mainly because small little to-dos pop up throughout the day.
How do you use a weekly and a daily?
Daily has my to-do’s and isn’t as decorated. Mostly just pen. Weekly has no to-dos and more like a memory keeping, week at a glance type thing.
Julie’s Plans thank you so much for the reply, especially such a quick reply!
That makes sense! I watch all of your videos but I couldn’t pinpoint exactly what you did in order to use both. I think I’m going to get a 6-month Plum Paper Daily to try it out 😊
I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but I've used Plum Paper in the past (and loved it), but had some types of highlighters bleed through the paper. I can't remember if Mildliners were one of them. Maybe do a check on that if you use highlighters.
Soooo excited to be seeing PPP content! 💙💚
You could add your own special quote on each months cover page
I always used the page before the month as the month before. For example everything for August is contained between the beginning of the august tab and ends at the September tab. It always threw me off to have the page before the tab be for the upcoming month.
I use the TUL pens .5 and no bleeding or smudging
I would really love half-hour daily planner options. Have you come across any other brand with half-hours for the daily? I love that the plum paper also has the half hours on the hourly layout.
So I know you are digging your daily plum but I also have heard you mention you like half hours (not sure if it is just for the monthly planner or not). I finally found a daily with half hours that I really like. She Plans has a nice daily layout, very simplistic if you wanted to check it out. It is a quarterly planner with sew binding. I thought I would mentioned it since you have been reviewing so many planners. Thanks for your content! I really enjoy it!
Good afternoon Julie.❤️ I love your videos all the time but, if I may ask, why do you always get sent daily or monthly planners when you haven’t finished the last one or the one you are using? I do hope you have a relaxing and faith filled afternoon. Hugs, Sue(Clearwater, Florida)❤️🙏🏻😘👼🌴💕☀️😎🌼🌸😇❌⭕️❌⭕️
Part of my “job” as a content creator is reviewing products and sharing them with you. I often gift or giveaway things that I won’t or can’t personally use.
Julie’s Plans good morning Julie. Thank you for responding back. I think that is very kind of you to gift the products that you don’t use. Also, I’m sure it also makes you feel good knowing that you gave some5ingnto someone who will use the product. God bless you ansnhave a good day. Sue(Clearwater, Florida)❤️🙏🏻🌴👼🌸🌼😎☀️❌⭕️❌⭕️
I’ve been looking at plum paper a lot recently. Does Erin conference accessories work with the plum paper coil?
Yes they do!
For the daily... are the weekends on their own page?
they are on separate pages! I feel like that's the number one selling point of the Plum Paper Daily vs. any other daily that I've looked at so far. Laken did point out in her daily planner review that having Saturday and Sunday on their own pages means that on some weeks, Sat and Sun are side by side, but on other weeks they are back to back, but it's a small price to pay.
I like the smaller coil, but it doesn’t look like there is room for the added bulk for sticker users. Just an observation.
That’s also a concern of mine!
Did you use microperm in your LP? Or no to that as well?
Only on stickers!
@@JuliesPlans Thanks Julie!
Can you glue the duplicate page at the end / beginning of the month with an adhesive roller?
Yes!
The Pentel energel pens dry right away on this paper. That is what I am using.
I would probably go back to plum paper if it weren’t for the colors. All that purple and peach is a deal breaker for me!🤢😂 However their paper is 😍!
Is there an option with no color?
On the daily there is not
The 7x9 daily has a neutral option, but the A5 does not.
Yep. Size does matter. ;) :D
The 5x7 daily is speaking to me.
It’s 5x8.... I don’t know why I kept saying 5x7 but close enough right!? 🤣
@@JuliesPlans yep 😆😆
Like this.
Ugh, the tab doesn’t open to the month?! Why????? 😩
I know right?! 🥴
