I’m a teacher so that top calendar that everyone dreads, I constantly reference as I’m lesson planning. My schedule is also very regimented, so I need the layout for hour blocking. It’s my absolute must have! It’s not perfect. I would love to have a “Top 3” area. No matter which one you choose, nothing like finding YOUR planner!

I don’t understand people’s complaints. I’m a therapist and use that calendar multiple times a day. I’m clearly in the middle of today and need to reference other days in the week all the time. It’s so nice not to have to turn the page.

I think the vellum page in the EC A5 is there in order to protect the page you write your name on, in case you use the inside cover with dry erase markers... maybe... otherwise, I have no clue why they would not come pre-decorated

For me, it's PP all the way! The customizations just can't be beat: from the binding options, section customization on the page that fits my needs, the planner length of my choice, the ability to add my personal "special days", and the numerous add-ons besides extra pages - I am in love! The paper to me is great, you just have to choose to give something different a chance. But much love to options and choices 💕

I've been using EC for years and just couldn't find the right fit for ME. Hourly, vertical, petite, softbound, coil, you name it... I stumbled onto your channel, immediately bought a PPP and am hooked. I like/need to segment my days and the petite was kinda filling this need but PP nails it. I REALLY appreciate your honesty and thorough approach, and especially value the pen recommendations! I love the EC no smear, but now with your go-tos, I can finally focus on planner function. THANK YOU.

Great comparison, Julie! I will still stick with my Plum Paper daily because I like how it has the entire month behind that month’s tab. I don’t like how the EC Daily Duo will split the end of one month and put the last few days from the previous month behind the tab for the next month. It just feels incomplete to me. Thanks for the video.

Very nicely done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 . I have ppp and EC. My Tul .7 smears in my ppp. My uniball signo micro doesn't but since I like the Tul barrel better, I switched the ink out. I'm switching up in July. I tried the A5 PP daily and was not totally in love with it (the shading is just UGH), I decided to try out the 7x9 Daily Duo (last year’s version) when it was on sale and there is just something about the setup of the DD that I absolutely love!! It is working so well that I am not sure I could make the switch to A5. I’ve got a while though since the DD that I have goes through December.

  • @JustScribble
    @JustScribble Год назад

The cover on the PP is mainly what causes it not to fit the LV as well - since their cover is wider to cover their tabs the amount going into your LV to stick the planner in is a lot wider than the EC backcover - making it not stick in as far and thus the cover not wrapping around as well.
I've bought some PP notebooks in the past but not their planners. the amount of color/shading on their planners always turned me off. I like EC planners - especially the daily duo and hourly vertical - just with both came in A5 size so I could franken plan my perfect planner.

After trying the Plum Paper, I decided it wasn’t for me. Decided to go to a six ring planner and now I have a Kikki K and just ordered the EC six ring...waiting for that to come in.

I really like the Plum Paper planners but I have to say EC all the way for me! The EC paper is just next to none and I love the covers too! I do have to say with PP I do like the extras that you can add in though, hopefully EC will start that soon. I am just so happy EC has the A5 size now because I can’t get over the PP paper. Awesome review, as always! ❤️

Great review! I am going to switch from the Daily Petite Planner to the Daily duo a5 because the paper in the daily petite is not the same as previous versions, so there is a lot of smudging for me. I love how you did an example layout showing both planners, that really helped me. Thank you!

i've used a PP A5 daily in the past and i like the layout better than the EC daily duo, but for me it comes down to the paper. i like using whatever pen i want and i could not get over the smeariness of the PP. EC paper really is unique and i went ahead and ordered the A5 DD for this upcoming year.

Thank you for doing this side by side comparison. I’ve used EC LPs for years but last year switched to PP daily in the A5 size. I think I’m going back to EC and getting the A5 coiled daily duo. Enjoyed the customization of the PP but couldn’t get past the paper.

I tried the PP 7X9 daily and honestly I can't handle the paper. So happy that EC came out with the A5 daily. EC paper is by far my favorite. I went with the A5 EC Coiled daily and I can't wait for July to get here so I can begin using it. Happy that they gave a separate day for both Sat and Sun. I am with you on what is the purpose of that in the way monthly view. Maybe on the Mon or at least every other page but every single day. Not like I am going to forget the week once I get to Wed. Loved the review! Hope to hear that you will be going with the EC. Missed your PWM videos in this planner and would love to see how your planning goes int his new planner. I really appreciate how you did spreads in both planners and compared both side by side. As always your honesty is appreciated! :D

Good evening Julie.❤️🙏🏻 I just wanted to say that even though I don’t do any daily planning but, I do absolutely love watching your videos and I’m always intersected in how you will decorate each week of your planners no matter what kind of planner you use. Also, if I may say, I thought you making the part where you go to talk about which planner you will us, you make it all statically and I thought that was so clever.😂😂👍🏻 You are very clever too.👍🏻😉😊 Anyway, you have an awesome rest of your evening/night and hugs to you and sweet Bruiser too.🐶🥰😘. God bless you and do enjoy your weekend. Love, Sue(Clearwater, Florida)❤️🥰🤟🏻🌴😎🙏🏻👼😘❌⭕️❌⭕️

Thanks so much for making this comparison video! I am sure it was a ton of work and I know so many of us appreciate it. I have decided to stick with my A5 Plum Paper. I love the customizations and I actually love the way my Pentel Energel writes in the PPP more than the EC. However, I now have to go and order the daily in the modern colorway for the next six months. Hope you have a nice, relaxing long weekend with your family!

Also, I recently found the le pen pens at my local Walmart in different color packs and I'm in love! 😍 also, I find that sometimes the sharper s gel skips and tul has been a great find over the years. :) 😊

I don't mind Peach, but the shading in the Plum Paper Daily A5 for all of April, May and June starts to feel a little overbearing, esp. as the colour gets darker each month :D

Thank you SO MUCH for making this video! I’m almost to the end of my Plum Paper daily and I am honestly not loving it. I hate the paper, and the color scheme is so blah. I’ve been debating going to back to EC since I heard the new and improved DD was nice, so it was great to actually see a thorough comparison! Now that I’ve given it some more thought, this might be the year I finally try out a Golden Coil planner, which I feel like has some of the best features of both PP and EC (customizable, good paper, neutral pages). Wish me luck!

I love EC's paper! I tried the daily duo this past year. I think the space with the monthly calendar is wasted. As someone whose handwriting is getting shakier with age, I would have liked some lines or dot grid in the blank space at the bottom of the page. Thank you for such a detailed comparison.

I currently have the EC DD & am seriously considering switching to the PP A5 daily. Since I use very little stickers in my daily I am going to try an EC petite daily before spending the money on a coiled one.

Great review, as always! This year, I’m trying the PPP, and I’m going from daily to an hourly layout. I tried the DD last year, and often found I liked the list area, but with my life, I didn’t use the hourly timed area as much - some days were busy, but not enough to justify a page per day. My hope is that when my days aren’t super scheduled, I can use the hourly times just as a to do list. We’ll see how it goes. 🤞🏻
I did find that you can add a photo to many of the PPP covers. When you are customizing that center area that you usually do your initials, there is an option to add a photo there. They don’t have the photo collage covers like EC, but it’s at least something.

Such a great review!! I'm not a daily user but you almost convinced me... I was wondering when/how you decided to purchase and show EC products again? (I think you paused for a bit after last years situation but I also could be wrong) I know it is SUCH a personal decision but I would love to hear your thoughts if you are open to sharing!
