    I absolutely enjoyed your video with great visit of the main places to visit in Palermo! Any suggestions of lodgings? Traveling solo without hiring a car. Thank you

    • @MsBritaly
      @MsBritaly  Год назад

      I recommend staying close to the centre - if you don't have a car. There are places near to Teatro Massimo, Via Libertà, Piazza Sant'Anna (although it is noisy at night), Quattro Canti and Via Maqueda.

    Hi I will be staying beside central station in October...Does the hop on hop of bus leave from central station ? Is there a bus from central station to mondello beach ?

    • @MsBritaly
      @MsBritaly  Год назад +2

      The hop on hop off bus goes to Mondello. You'll need to double check departure stops as there are two bus lines. You can also get a local bus to Mondello run by Amat - 806.

    Great video, we will be staying about an hour east of Palermo but would love to visit, how do you suggest we get there?

    • @MsBritaly
      @MsBritaly  8 месяцев назад

      It depends on whether where you will be staying has access to public transport or whether a hire car would be a better option

      @@MsBritaly we are hiring a car, so I guess that's the best way.

      The airport remains open but bars and shops will close. I’ve never stayed overnight there but if you Google it, you can see what people say about the experience.

    We will be there for a week at the end of August. Plan on exploring the city, mondello and cefelu by train then picking up a car on day 4 and exploring western sicily before leaving for Mt Etna for a week, then Naples for 4 days and Rome for 10!

    Thank you🙏 it was very helpful and I finally feel like I found someone reasonable talking about Palermo. I was tired of all those stereotypical comments about it. Do you think visiting Mondello beach in October would be nice? Or are there still lidos and space is restricted?

    • @MsBritaly
      @MsBritaly  Год назад +3

      October is a lovely time of the year. It’s not as intensely hot as the Summer, it’s less busy and the majority of lidos will have finished for the season. In October, people still swim in the sea here in Palermo!

      I didn’t find Palermo had any more rubbish than other Italian cities (Rome, Naples). I found the trees and parks in Palermo a welcome and refreshing green change, a lovely surprise I wasn’t expecting. Also I actually found all the service people I interacted with the friendliest and most helpful of all cities on my European holiday.
