Two goals in injury time gave us a superb comeback victory in an all-action encounter at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon.
Ollie Watkins had put the hosts ahead early on before Bukayo Saka pulled us level with a screamer.
Philippe Coutinho restored Aston Villa's lead before the break, but we came roaring back after half-time.
Alex Zinchenko drew us level with his first Arsenal goal - but it looked as though we would have to settle for single point before the late, late drama.
An own goal from former Gunner Emi Martinez - when Jorginho’s shot hit the bar and bounced in off the keeper’s head - put us ahead and Gabriel Martinelli sealed the win late on, walking the ball in after Martinez had gone forward for a late Villa corner.
It was the perfect tonic after one point from our last three games, and put us back on top of the table.

As an arsenal fan for over ten years, I got to say that this game was special. Like the win against United at the Emirates, we showed real character and grit to fight back and put all three points in the bag. This spirit is what champions are made of. I hope we get Partey and Jesus ASAP because the going is only get tougher and we need all hands on deck to see this through. COYG.
Any idea what happened in the City game??
Our players were feeling extremely shaky or scared. Like Tomi made that backpass because he was scared of losing possesion but in the Man U game we lost in Old Trafford he was confident enough to dribble past Ronaldo in similar situation.

Martinelli changed the game for us ...the intensity in final 3rd ..3rd and fourth goals are all his...the skill in the criss to joginho and the speed for his goal

@@fernandoyuno6968 Aston villa player already tired also he got much better space than trossard in first half. If the Role switch, martinelli start and trossard as sub, we gonna see almost same result. That's why having squad depth is important
He was brought on when the opponent was already tired which changed the game for arsenal. Nice strategy by Arteta. COYG

That's why I have always said nketiah should be dropped rather so martilleni and trossard can be in the team. Trossard reminds me of carzola when Santi first join. Wenger played him on the wings at first but wasn't that effective and the rest was history. If Eddie doesn't score he doesn't add anything else to our play. Lastly, Zinchenko should replace Xhaka so Tierney can come in to give the necessary overlapping runs for our left winger
Jorginho had a great game today. Was very impressed with his decision making and playing part in 2 of 4 goals we scored. With Jesus back soon, think the team will get better.

In no small measure, he was descent throughout the entire, didn't hold on too the ball for so long compared to the likes of Ødegaard&Zinny, he could anticipate most runs done by Villa, made little errors. I think I'll rate him 7/10, he is gradually unleashing his potential at Arsenal

Jorginho is not a skilful player but he is a very intelligent player. His positions were always spot on in so many games I have watched him past and today. And his strength is his his decision making and distribution of the ball. He never liked to hold a ball too long and he always passed the ball to the right guy. But he is ageing. Hope he can maintain his level with Arsenal for a long time.

Everyone criticized Zinchenko for his stupid shots from a distance. But he took responsibility when he hit the goal from a bad position in the past matches. Those matches were very difficult and none of the attacking players could offer anything better. And now, when the blow became effective, everyone started to love Zinchenko again. people are so fickle... Better to pay attention to his undisputed defensive performance throughout the season.
Funny how 6 months later Fabio Viera threaded that same pass to another Brazilian - Gabby Jesus to add the final gloss on a historic win against Man Utd in the dying seconds of the match as he did here. DEJA VU 😮😊

Odegaard is the luckiest man on the pitch. Had Arsenal not win today, the fans will surely turn on him. Saka is world class. My man of the match. He was kicked left, right,and centre but he still managed to continue. Jorginho is proving the doubters wrong. I've always known him to be a maestro. This is just the beginning of better things from him. Martinelli needed that goal for his confidence. What a match! A match of the season contender!
