Haaland brace fires City to within touching distance of the title
Erling Haaland claimed a second half brace as Pep Guardiola’s side recorded a first-ever league win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - and eighth league triumph in a row.
It was a tense, eventful game that also saw substitute keeper Stefan Ortega Moreno, who came on for the injured Ederson in the second half, produce a series of outstanding saves to deny Spurs.
This latest victory helped moved back on top of the Premier League table, moving us two points clear of Arsenal.

Akanji had several opportunity for either to do back pass quickly straight to Ortega or may be switch left to unmarked Kyle walker but he was too slow to react and this happen several times and in some occasions he had chance to score on penalty box but decide to kick blind pass,,he need to change

Ortega saved us!!! He avoided at least three goals. The best player of the match and Guardiola's great success in substituting him...Moraes was not well after the blow to the head. The entire team played with the "knife between their teeth"... with strong legs and with their mind on the championship. They played to win....not to play nice.

@darrenwarby32 We're in a title race situation because our defenders cost us late goals with all the draws we got.. that put us into a lot of pressure fighting here and there until we lost the UCL.. to perform well and go forward you have to trust the players who got your back and Ruben was a flop this season that's why Pep kept changing our defensive line because he couldn't find a Balance there that also affected our midfielders, and Ruben should have secured that spot like VVD and Saliba did.. he said it himself that he's not training hard like he used to do in an interview.. that explains all I guess.. teams don't fear us anymore because our Center Back is letting everyone go through and score easily, so we're making these teams look good, and once our rivals knows our weakness it's over.. they are thinking "oh we can actually reach their side and cause them problems, they are struggling in defense".. that's why we see a lot of transitions this season.. yesterday Akanji lost the ball, Ruben was supposed to watch Son, Son was running before even Ruben noticed his movements.. go back and watch

If anything, the closest comparison would be Fernandinho since this fanbase do be comparin and complainin. 😂 So of course he’ll fall short when compared to Gundo. But rated in the position he was slated to play, he’s been ace notwithstanding the fact that it’s only his first season at City. Kova supports Rodri, allowing Rodri to go deeper and create chances-essentially strengthening City’s caliber in the CDM position which you could argue is the heart of our formation. He also retains control and re-stabilizes plays. There’s a reason Pep has consistently deployed Kova alongside Rodri in these remaining matches. And as far as attacking goes, which is objectively his biggest weakness, allow him time to improve? With City’s successes, people tend to forget that it often takes players at least a year to fully adjust. Even Rodri needed time.
It really speaks to KDB’s quality that he’s consistently showing up in player stats for assists and breaking records despite his injuries this season. A living legend. 👑🐐

In Ederson's defense, he's been injured multiple times this season, which isn't easy on a player's psyche.
In fact, I applaud him for still being able to come back and man the post efficiently. This is largely due to Pep continuing to play him despite his shortcomings, so he doesn't lose form completely.
