What a wonderful testimony of love and faith. Nothing is too big for our God. Your dad reveals the true relationship that he has with the Lord. And Marvin and Mary you were great with the questions. You kept everything going smoothly and on track.
I enjoyed this video. Thank you.

Oh wow! Your father's testimony of how he started life and then the greatness of God and how He works to bless and protect, was very inspiring. I've followed along with many of the videos about the Girods and their lives in the Amish communities. I especially enjoyed a video of when they went to visit Switzerland and the early history of Mennonite and Amish faiths. Your potato bread looked wonderful too!

We got the budget when I was growing up and mom would sit and read the budget Saturday evening! So interesting to hear about family coming from Switzerland which is where my ancestors come from too! And my husband’s family also from Germany!

I love hearing from another Berne-ite. I've heard Ben's story before from Joas & Priscilla's channel. I also went to the school in Berne & even attended some classes in Geneva when they shuttled us back & forth in the 60's. I graduated from South Adams High School in Berne over 50 years ago. I remember the Yoder Saw Mill. My, I haven't thought of that in decades! The Old Order Amish in the Berne area are some of the most conservative. I haven't been there in several years, but the last I knew they still drove open buggies, no covered buggies allowed. Some of my ancestors were also Amish. With a last name of Schwartz, it's understandable! Thank you so very much for this special video. God bless you! Love from TX.😊❤

Wow,this was very interesting! We live around 2 hrs from Bowling Green,MO. I'm so amazed how Amish Bishops actually leave the Amish and go to a more liberal, spiritual church.Only God can change them.Your Dad is a very interesting, Christian speaker. God bless him and you all. Joanna

Well, that was really informatable....I go now and cook dinner for my husband and mil...I 1é2 finished my pickled beets, will do the brining tomorrow morning...hands arenèt really red, but my mil is 91 and I have been helping with her care since she was 86. Firstly driving her down to her husband daily in Toronto General Hospital and the old Riverdale Hospital in Toronto and we live in Woodbridge, Ontario, every day then he died, and then her care has been driving to specialists, etc., because her son and daughter still work. So at about 3:45 pm I will head over to do the suppers. My husband her son, is going to go after his work to an old neighbour, whom is 96 for a kinda belated birthday...before coming home. so his supper will be later...Im just bushed when I go home...but, what can you do, thatès life.

My amish friend in Michigan Grandpa Jacob P. Schwartz(1881-1953) was the brother to Mary P. Schwartz(1874-1935) and Josephine P. Schwartz(1884-1924) who was your dad's Grandmas. My friend's husband is my 8th cousin through his Frey ancestors. My ancestors came over from Germany and first settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in the 1700s. Great video!
