In Europe (and in Russia obviously) the bathroom and the toilet are considered to be a wet places. That means that is normal to be washed with water and some other stuff all over the walls. That's why any electrical equipment should be avoided in these places because they can get wet and this can become safety hazard for the people that service or use the toilet or the bathroom. Also like an electrician I should warn you that voltage in Europe and Russia is as twice as high from that in the USA and this makes it also as twice as dangerous. That's why the light switch is mounted outside. Is the same here in my country. Greetings from Bulgaria!
Man, it's just convenient to switch on the light before you come in and not rummage searching for a switch in the darkness.

Sockets in the bathroom have covers in the EU.
The light switch outside the bathroom is the heritage of Soviet electrical standards. It's simply safer to have any possible electrical appliances out of wet environment for avoiding the risk of electrocution.
Not true it's only from soviet, same in many European countries. :)

сетки на окнах есть))) просто они снимаются на зиму/холодный период, когда комаров нет.
как уже писали. выключатель снаружи чтобы не искать его в темноте в комнате.
кстати вместо бахил можно носить сменную обувь. (например какие нибудь тонкие тапочки)

Не можно, можно в тапочках но всё равно в бахилах, не известно что вы принесёте из больницы равно как и то что принесёти в больницу на своих тапочках. К примеру больничная пневмония( на гране супер инфекции).

I forgot how hard it is to talk with those invisible aligners on. I live in America but for some unknown reason, when my bathroom was renovated, my electrician put my light switch outside of my bathroom.🤔

Ha, I live in MA and light switches are on the outside. It's usually found in areas where there is winter so that the moisture/steam in the bathroom doesn't impact the electricals.
In Norway we have no tips! The pay is really good, i think we can tip, but that goes to the restaurant, not to the person anyways. I think the tipping is normal in the US, because that professions pay bad?

So interesting video 😊 the light switch thing shocked me a bit because I immediately thougt what if someone turn it off by mistake while I'm inside? 🤣anyway I'm from Italy so I can confirm it's not like this in all countries in european area 😁 thinking about the old man or the family toast thing and also other things, I like the way russian people are, sometimes I feel very close to them because despite the stereotypes of them being cold, actually I always thought they are generous, funny and friendly people! It 's not difficult at all ! It took me no more than 4 years to be able to have a conversation. Yes. My parents and friends understood me perfectly when I was already 4 years old. 👦

Making toast around the table 6 to 60 times a day is normal even if the event is a simple gettogether, its our Slavic thing that goes back centuries so obviously Russians do it too, here in the Balkans it is done even more if you would believe it.
I live in France, and it really depends on the house with regard to the light switch. It was the same when I lived in Ireland.

Here in South Russia, in rostov region, it doesn't get as cold as over there, but we get freezing rain because it keeps teetering between freezing and above freezing. So everything gets iced over. Several times during the season 😬 It can be brutal..
But not as cold as Siberia! 😂
We get a lot of that sleet and freezing rain here in Missouri, USA. Seems like it used to be a lot more snow until the last 20 years or so. Plus lots of severe storms and chances of tornadoes in late Spring/early Summer. But looking at latitudes I'm still further south over here. 37 or 38 degrees.

Hello Victoria, if u would come ever to southern part of Russia , it is a Caucasus , so you'll hear extremely more toasts at the table , I would say more, every drink at the table with toast , juice not counted ))))

Btw, about the window nets. We still have them here in Russia, but they are removable. Some people simply do not use them, others use them for an entire year. My family takes the nets off and only puts them back during the summer time because of the mosquitos and other insects. Also, you can open the window all the way inside of your apartment if you turn the handle 90 degrees.
I live in Cyprus, and the light switch is on the outside of the bathroom here too. I never thought about it before.. maybe it is a European thing..
In the States, you wouldn't want Fedor to have met your parents by greeting them with "Yo, what up?" similarly in Russia you would use "Zdravstuite" instead of "Privet" with the people you respect.
I asked the guy who was redoing electrical wiring in my house to put the light switch on the inside of the bathroom and he said he won't do that because that's not safe, it being in a wet environment and all..
I guess maybe it's different because in Russia it's 220 and not 110, so it is more electrical current running thru.
I did get him to put two outlets into my bathroom, tho.. He put ones in with covers so moisture doesn't always go in there.

Tipping baffles me- like why should I pay you for doing your job- that’s your employers job!🤷♀️ but of course I do realise that in countries that tip, employers can tend to use tipping as a reason NOT to pay their staff a decent wage!🤷♀️🙄

The mosquito nets have been probably removed for the winter. Mosquitos can't survive winters, so the nets are only in place for the warm season normally.

Чем нагружать уборщиц лишней работой - берите с собой сменную обувь! Не только в фитнес. В поликлинику тоже раньше сменную обувь брали, помните? И в школу. Короче. Носите с собой сменку, и будем и вам, и уборщицам, и природе счастье.

No lines in Novosibirsk is some weird local thing. In most russian cities lines are in place. And in Moscow they are very well done.
I watched video where they showed colored roads in St Petersburg. They are adding coloring into asphalt. So some part of a road are red, some are blue. Also they are now experimenting with smell. They are adding strawberry extract so that roads do not smell like bitumen.

Can we talk about the news stations in Russia. Because here in America we have CBS ABC NBC and fox and is there something at Cable in Russia or is it just air TV
In Russia there is digital broadcasting, ~ three dozen of the most famous free ones, there are also channels in the Internet package > 150 for a relatively small fee. The trouble is with the news, there is only the state point of view, covered with dust and mothballs. Helps out the Internet, RUclips, but for the most part people still prefer TV.

Question! Hey, I'm new the channel and have been checking out Fedor's channel for a few weeks trying to learn as well as Real Russian Club. I grew up in Wisconsin, USA for my first decade-ish and love playing ice hockey. Also lived in NW Arkansas for a decade and now SW Missouri for going on 2 decades. There isn't as much hockey down here as there was in WI but I am grateful we have men's league here (indoors of course - winter, summer, and fall leagues). The outdoor rinks in WI were great when I was a kid. What's the ice hockey situation like there in Russia? Do lots of people play? I'm assuming all of the big cities might have indoor and outdoor hockey?

Привет, практически во всех городах России есть хоккейные площадки, в моём городе 5 закрытых ледовых арен корорые работают круглый год, а открытые есть во многих дворах. У меня в шаговой доступнопности 3 хоккейные площадки, которые работают зимой ( любой человек может играть в хоккей или просто кататься на коньках обсолютно бесплатно). Я даже видел площадки для хоккея в деревнях.
пару раз оставляла парикмахеру чаевые -так как очень понравилась как сделали стрижку. А так я считаю ты итак платишь за услуги зачем доплачивать,они зарплату получают это их работа.Бахилы удобная вещь чтобы обувь не снимать,особенно в больнице разная зараза может быть. Сетки на окнах у меня и дома и в квартире есть.Тосты по желанию...мы особо их не поднимаем за вечер пару раз в честь чего собрались.

I noticed that and one of your videos you said you were losing your hair you may want to check for toxins in your blood usually when someone is sick there may be toxins or cause your hair to be to to fall out. Arsenic poisoning is a good indicator of hair falling out certainly feeling weak things like that did you may want to check for screen for every type of toxin I'm saying that because a lot of people they don't realize sometimes when they've been poisoned

Everyone in Russia is able to get information from the west. Also, a lot of Russians have relatives in Ukraine and we communicate. Russians know much more about this war than westerners do

@@nataliak2693 just the local TV of Rus point of view is shown one-sidedly, Westerners at least had explanations and reasons for the Russian invasion. We only have the most correct and just line of the “party and government”.
