Only in the south east of England, here in the rest of the UK like Manchester in the northwest for example most services are still only 3 cars, if you're extremely lucky in peak times you might see a six car. But they don't seem to organise it in any logical way here, meaning you could be riding in a six car at say 2pm with just a few people, which yeah is a good train ride don't get me wrong, but it's not so good at Manchester Piccadilly station when the platform is packed out and all that comes is a 3 car, or sometimes I kid u not, even a 2 car!!

Have had to use a 12 car 377 to go and assist another 12 car 377 that had failed just south of Ouse Valley Viaduct. To my knowledge, the electrical supply could not handle any more than 18 power packs on a 24 car set. We took it to Haywards Heath Down Back Platform where we left the failed 12 car in platform and then shunted back to continue the journey via the Down Main.
