You have been hitting the things we asked about in our teens, in 76'... and finally @ 10 yrs. later after 12 to 13 years in Blown Fuel Hydro... ( will never forget Dan Pastorini coming out of the water that day...) We were at the SDBA finals in May 77' when I was told " not today... " so I put the heads back on... lol.
Appreciate your candor and professionalism always. KUDO'S,
    Seth

The port hight is also increased. With high ports and 24° angles. The valves just move further away into the air stream. The valve angle still needs to be lifted out of the way of the air flow. The higher the port, the lower the angle.

how low can you go on the valve angle on a OHV engine?

Even wonder why a modified Chevy 292 Inline 6 can run so good on a Siamese port cast iron modified head? 9 Degree valve angles-Intake and Exhaust...Look what they are doing in Brazil with the double turbo charged 250-not 292!-with same head(250 and 292 use same) Search here for Opalla (sp?) With 250....9 degree valve angles...head was designed in 1962.....

Does angle milliing the head change the valve angle?

What are your thoughts on rotating the valve position within the cyl diameter?
:ie From an inline wedge position to more towards a hemi valve placement "clocking" position?
I've seen it stated that the more the valve position is rotated towards a hemi position (clocking, not angles) vs wedge inline, the more conductive to higher RPM operational efficiency it is.
Also, the question should not to be confused with a canted vs wedge.
A canted valve design can position the valves at various "rotation or clocking" positions while having similar compound valve inclination angles.
Extreme example: A 9 degree wedge SBC vs SB2.2 SBC head with similar airflow numbers.
Better example: A Hemi 99 pro mod semi wedge head vs a DRCE GM pro stock head.

I don't know I'm just the video guy ........ there is a brain trust here that are always looking at improving heads on the flow bench / dyno
