Matt, just ask the LS repair guys who’s putting the heads on? Is it the consumer, who just stuffs a cam in & bolts shit together without checking! Or someone who knows what’s going on? You probably already thought of it!

Re the LS valves, I had a hemi 6.4l that snapped a valve, I have a feeling the seat dropped down on one side and the valve hammered it back into place only to kink the valve shaft. if you drill and tap into the seats you could pull on them and see how tight they are, maybe there is a seat issue on the LS heads not a guide issue.

Even wonder why a modified Chevy 292 Inline 6 can run so good on a Siamese port cast iron modified head? 9 Degree valve angles-Intake and Exhaust...Look what they are doing in Brazil with the double turbo charged 250-not 292!-with same head(250 and 292 use same) Search here for Opalla (sp?) With 250....9 degree valve angles...head was designed in 1962.....

I had a pretty Kick-Ass manifold that Keith Wilson did single four-barrel he made it from another manifold and welded it all up years ago when you couldn't get a good manifold. 598ci
