Brilliant ghost story but also some interesting history and architecture of this fine East Anglian city where I studied almost 40 years ago.

I live in Norwich and have seen the ghost at the museum; she looked so normal that I took her for a member of staff. Seeing ghosts is not scary, as they appear as they did in life, but look like they are real people and not disembodied spirits. At the time of seeing the ghost at the museum, I also saw a little boy in the reception dressed up, and when I pointed him out to the staff-they must have thought I was mad. I love seeing the ghosts of Norwich. They just look like people in period dress.

I have lived in this beautiful city and always thought this alley was really spooky. When I next visit will definately go on the tour.

Thank you for a very well presented evenings enlightenment. The stories were authentic and perfectly delivered. Our party of three along with the 20+ other spectators remained suitably frightened throughout the two hour tour.Myself in particular had never seen ghosts before and although I hate to admit it I did see around 8 to ten disturbing spirits. Some of whom came within very close proximity of the audience one of which appeared to pass right through my relative who simply shuddered. We look forward to visiting your darkness in the not too distant future to experience other parts of our historic city and most definitely will join you for Halloween in October. To any doubters I recommend a visit to the Adam and Eve on a Tues, Weds or Thursday evening.

Sorry but that isn't correct. The Red Cross as an organisation was founded in 1863 by Henri Dunant who was a Swiss national, after he witnessed horrific injuries sustained by soldiers at the battle of Solferino in Italy in1859.
So that this new humanitarian organisation's flag wasn't confused with any existing nation's flag, he simply reversed the colours of his own country's flag from a white cross on a red background, to a red cross on a white background.
Tempting though it may be to assume that there must be some sort of link here, there really isn't. The Red Cross being founded in the 19th century has nothing at all to do with the use of red crosses being used on doors as a warning - or perhaps as an attempt to elicit some sort of Devine intervention for the sick - during the plague in 17th century England.

Im sceptical of the story of the little girl being sealed in with the family and being found to eat the relatives before, and it was on the Ashford ghost walk where I live..Sounds like a Black Death legend than a real Ghost..Also how can the vicar not believe inthe afterlife if he believes in God and all that entails????
