    America needs to invest more in infrastructure. Expanding once every 50 years is ridiculous. Also 4 billion for 3 stations??? For stations with no central heating or air conditioning and without guard rails to prevent accidents? What a ripoff.

      Actually they do have ac and heat. New city codes say any new subway station has to have ac and heat. But $4billion because of the labor.

    • @BendySnowball
      @BendySnowball 6 лет назад +2

      Cut and cover disrupts the neighborhood, and completely tears apart the street. Why do cut and cover, when you can silently bore tunnels underground. Cut and cover is basically useless now.

    • @Dear_Mr._Isaiah_Deringer
      @Dear_Mr._Isaiah_Deringer 5 лет назад +1

      If you want to do cut and cover you essentially have to pass a law that protects the entire endeavor from any lawsuits and probably claim some eminent domain on top of that.

      ***** listen, new York labor laws are very strict. I know because I was born and worked in new york city. You have to be in a union to do any kind of work in new York city construction thanks to the city codes and so forth. Please do your research before replying to a post that I made do to knowing how new York city works.

    • @DavidSaintloth
      @DavidSaintloth 8 лет назад +2

      That's exactly how it works for a fact Richard....and it's not just NYC. It is any where need for a cheap ...hassle free labor force present for an existing business that can use that labor. We mostly know of it out west for work on farms but it really is true of many low wage manual jobs....from hospitality services to restaurants to gardening services to construction....jobs that are pretty homogeneously spread across the nation. This also explains why the cheap labor finds itself spreading to all sorts of places you wouldn't otherwise expect them to be....why are there so many Mexican laborers in NYC ? and Chicago? and Minnisota? That's why....
