My favorite couple. You can actually feel the chemistry between Vilma and Rudy. These two transcended beyond the movie screen and seemed so genuine. What a gift to be able to watch them. Thank you.

Rudy and Vilma had more chemistry between them than he ever had with Natacha. You can feel the warmth and tenderness in the kisses they share. You can tell they had genuine affection for each other. I would have shipped Rudy+Vilma so much! I wish they had been together in real life 💔 what a lovely couple they were on screen ! A diamond couple for sure. Vilma made it to talking films she had a lovely accent. I can only imagine how charming the sound of these two talking to each other must have been ❤
Yes thats why he adored her, because she had some of that Natasja needed, she was a little cold and dominant, and that is not a good cooktail for italian men.....no doubt he loved Natasja, but I think he had hoped that they together could have a family, but Natasja did not want children, she had one or maybe more abortions, because she wanted to realize herself, and for that you need freedom.
Wilma was not in love with Rudy, she enjoyed the fame together with him, and they were friends in the deepest way of friendship. Ohhh do I wish they had made a lovely family with beautiful children, but Rudy had reach the last chapter, he drank and smoked and hardly slept, he went from one easy women to the next. He was so drunk at all his parties that friends had to drive him home to avoid him form taken his own car, and get killed that way.
Sorry Sandy, but I have bin studying for years everything possible about him, he was wonderful, but his love and hot passion for women took him down, because he was a family man not a playboy or a charlatan og women eater, but his life style ended up making him all that.
The day he came to the polyclinic in NY, they did not operate at once, they waited for a special doctor who only did these kind of operations. Rudy was ruined inside, and after the operation he slowly went into a deadly coma, and after 6-7 days suffering he gave up life and left a screaming mourning and chokked world with women going crazy even some committed suicide, because Rudy was as perfect as a man can get, and that was gone for good.
His wife did not come to the funeral, Pola Negri made a show out of it for her own promotion, Rudy left this world without the women who claimed she loved him, and even had bin his wife twice.
I can only say R.I.P. Darling Rudy.....
@@jannepetersen4660 no need to be sorry Janne and thank you for your comment; I get what you mean Rudy never met the woman that was right for him. He fell for the wrong ones. I think he said something like 'the women I love don't love me, and I have no interest in the other women'.
Rodolfo was too good for this world. I can only hope he is living a better life in another dimension/reality now. Who knows. He can rest easy knowing he is still very much loved nearly a century after his passing.
@@Sandrine_Damfino So wonderful written by you, I know that we share the same love for him as a human as a person, who really in his short life had many sorrows.
He was very committed to womens attension, but he could not live truly without the only love he had in life, because he keept holding the hopes so high, that he ignored the reality about his marrige to Rampova, and the sad truth about her really intensions.
I do think she loved him, but not the way Rudy needed and wanted, because he respected that she was strong, but he could not face her cold nature and control over his life and work.
Had he survived his operation, I think he would have taken his time to recover, and spending time on his beloved Falcon Lair with horses and dogs and a lot of other activities.
He would have gained the power to stand firm to a future where he was in control of his life, and not everybody else.
But Sandy we can imagine until the snow turns green, the fact is that Rudy lost the battle against his ilness and against women, because he gave them more than they could pay back, and that will always ruin the good intensions.
The women at his time were different than women in our time, and that is a very important difference, because women today might adore him and imagine how it must have bin to come close to him, feel him and feel the strong passion, but because we adore him so much, we forget that he lived a century ago, where women were small fracle things often living in the shadows of men.
I think I would find him kind and charming and funny, and a very handsome gentleman, showing elegance and attension to every move I might make, but I am not sure that I would need the erotic side of him, because he was a man on fire, and those type of men dont settle with one women. Rudy loved Natasja but he was not faithful and neither was she.
I enjoy the memories because I can't long for a man I have never known, but I can imagine how women have bin hunting him early and late.
Again I will end my page by writing R.I.P. Darling Rudy.......

We can never know for sure what it was like to be around Rudy, we can only imagine and try to get to know him, the man behind the movie star, through the testimonies of those who have been blessed enough to know him in his lifetime.
It hurts sometimes, that we don't get concrete validation or answers. It is like trying to catch a dream. Rudy is not dead he is still around, his memory lives through the many people like yourself, myself, the people paying him tribute and caring about him, paving the way for his memory and his work to live forever and get the recognition they deserve. You can find them in Italy, because the way Rudy was acting in the movies and in his private life, are some of the manners you find among italian men, they are simply born that way. I was married to an italian man, and I remember one sommer in Sardenia, where he came from, people were singing and dancing, swimming and enjoying the hot summer. I danced with a lot of these beautiful dark men with fire in their eyes and and a passion for the female sex, who almost put you on fire, even you dont know these guys, and I think Rudy did that with the women, he was hot and had this strong passion about everything he did.
In Venice the air are full of romance and the evenings in the gondols with music and beautiful songs are simply what romance is all about.....Rudy was wonderful, but he was still a man......

To hot people make a fire, somebody has to put it out sometimes.
I will always love him, but we had to split.....he did not look like Rudy but he had the same appeal and temper.
Trust me even a dream guy can get to much......

The way he looked at her was with love. I don't think he was acting with her. It's too bad, he died without ever being with a loving women and have children. He said that Vilma was a fascinating woman and requested her to play his love in the Son of the Sheik. They certainly had on screen chemistry. Both lit up the screen.♥️♥️
He had requested Vilma for The Eagle also. There are parts in both movies in which I don't see as acting but genuine feelings. Maybe I'm just dreaming. Sigh...

Had Wilma Banky returned his feelings for her that could have changed his destiny, I know it was not to be, but he adored Wilma, thats why she was handpicked by himself, she did something to him, but she was not interested, and shortly after his death she moved on.....

Was Rudolph ordered to make movies while he was getting sick that he was committed to do? Too young to die and I know it was the 1920s. Did they ignore his illness?
