Never ever ever thought about having to do a factory reset on a keyboard but when you look at some of the more modern ones with their onboard profile I can see why this would be needed. Cheers Mike 🙂
PERFECT. You're the only person that noted to remove both cables and plug in only the keyboard plug. My keyboard was on a hub so pulling the hub's cable, I assumed would have the same effect. It does not :)

Man you saved me +150€, the keyboard started to spam at least 7 different keys (even in bios) and couldn't find any solution. This video in only 2 minutes fixed the issue i was fighting for hours. Thank you very much ♥

If you have a K55 keyboard: Unplug your keyboard. Hold down the FN and F4 keys and plug your keyboard back into your computer. Release the FN and F4 keys after 10 seconds. The keyboard should flash at this point. Open iCUE and update the firmware of your keyboard. Ignore any incompatibility warnings that pop up.
it took me an hour before i found this video. all i can say is thank you. it was either this or closing icue in task manager then an unplug and plug back in that worked for me but yeah. hopefully this helps others

Thank you thank you thank you! Had a power outage last night the keyboard was laggy and unresponsive simply unplugging it did nothing but your escape key tip fixed the issue.
This fixed a weird issue with Icue the software. If a key had a completely black color it would freeze up the rgb software. Strange that a full reset would fix that issue but I really appreciate it
Hi I was watching your fix and diagnose video I was having issues my pc would just freeze then reset to a black screen after loading in to a game for a few seconds I first checked all the parts everything seemed fine then I saw a video about ddu and it fixed it started to run well got through many games and then it started to crash again was thinking of taking it to Best Buy to get it fix but it’s pretty pricey so you have any idea what it could be would really appreciate it thank you.

I have the K70 mk.2 low profile version with silver switches, my''A'' key 'broke' and is not detecting an input 50% of the time, and only detects when i let go and press it again, the switch isn't broken, as it detects the press, just doesn't input, almost as what happens with cheaper keyboards, the ''ghosting'' effect; where you press multiple keys at the same time and only a few get detected as inputs. any ideas? I've yet to try it on another PC, which I will do today, but the RGB works perfectly, and everything is shown in i-Cue. The keyboard is only used about 4 months or so, no drops, spills or hits. (it's been out of use for like 4-5 months now, because I gave up and couldn't find any help from corsair or reddit etc.)

Any way to reset the keyboard back to its original preset color without factory reset? i download icue and edited lighting effects and ever since then haven't figured out how to revert back to default without a factory reset.
Not working for my K70 CORE, it wont show in iCUE so im assuming i should reset the keyboard but it wont reset, i hold for the right amount of time, ive tried less time, more time, nothing works. I had to roll back to the icue 4 update because 5 ruined my mouse and headset's functions. How do i get the keyboard to show up in iCUE or how do I reset the keyboard if it just wont?

I’m having an issue with my mk2 k70 where I press space bar and it switches profiles, also activated the windows key at least, maybe others. I’ve factory reset, reinstalled icue, can’t find anything. No key binds or anything.
Doesn't work for my K70. My F12 is red for some reason and won't take screenshots. I tried your and Corsair's method of resetting and it just loads up it's saved profile.
This method must have leaked from the Corsair factory as never heard of it. I have been using wired Corsair mechanical keyboards for about 20 years! Sometimes Widows will freeze on boot up and will not proceed to the log on screen .. in my case, took me a while to figure out that it was a keyboard related problem. Usually a plugging in and out of the keyboard works. Of course my Corsair KB is never recognized in BIOS, so always have a cheap USB KB to make BIOS settings. I love the KB so much that I don't want to give it up despite these annoyances. Any other tips?!

I cannot figure out how to reset my K100 Air. I use SignalRGB and I cant get the default color scheme to wipe inside of icue. My wireless keyboard and mouse will pick up the SignalRGB profiles, only when connected by USB. As soon as i try to go wireless, they both go back to rainbow. Its extremely annoying, as they were very expensive.
i'm not very familiar with the k100 but a few of our discord members have that keyboard, maybe pop into the discord for a chat with them and see if they can offer any solutions
That helped me I had no lights on keyboard also another way I found searching is FN F4 keys at the same time until keyboard flashes leds then let go then press FN 1 through 0 keys to change colours and flashing modes I hope that way has helped some one else out

Yeah didn’t work i don’t know what i did but when i press windows, or tab it turns red i have a k65 mini rgb and it doesn’t type anymore and when you press tab or windows button it turns red. Usually this would happen if you would press fn while also pressing windows but now it’s just doing it on its own and resetting it did nothing i don’t know what to do and i don’t have money for a keyboard.

A lifesaver. This solved me an issue where a rogue invisible macro got set up and stuck in keyboard memory (probably by my kitty, who likes hanging out on that keyboard when I'm not at my PC). What would happen is if ICUE software was off, the A key would instead become a macro trigger for multiple random keypresses (my cat's walk path along the keyboard). Launching ICUE would solve it while it's on, but it didn't show any macros set up on the keyboard, neither in software nor in keyboard memory mode. Doing a factory reset like in this video fixed it and removed the invisible macro for good.
maybe someone can help me, My corsair K70 mk.2 suddenly stopped working today during games. WASD respond but aren't really doing their job like the command is constantly interrupted. The keyboard is typing well with zero errors - but all F1-12 keys do not work, Cap lock, del, prnt screen etc, numb lock. seem like all functional keys have been almost locked out which also doesnt make sense why WASD doesnt work in games but outside of it it does. Plugged in keyboard in another computer and it works like normal.. rebooted this PC in safe mode to which it then functioned like normal.. but when i reboot normally.. its almost like these keys are locked. I plugged in my friend's keyboard and it did the exact same thing so it is clearly software issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled icue, deleted keyboard drivers, plugged in new port, Changed USB properties, i also did this videos recommended reset.. and still NOTHING. IF OP sees this, id love for your possible solution.
With the explosion of RGB 🦄🌈🏳🌈🦄🌈🏳🌈There have been times I’ve reset my keyboards to the factory defaults due to lighting profile issues or corrupted key binding etc. Often thou, I’ve seen a number of user manuals NOT show how to reset the keyboard and I’ve had to go online to find the solution 🥵 which is time wasting and frustrating to the least.
why do people want so much LED lighting on their PC's today. I don't get it. They probably don't, it's just manufacturers looking for ways to charge more
i actually like it and would miss it if it was taken away. It is like any things we own, some like to personalise or change the look, the PC isn't just a tool these days, it is a form of personal expression

the switch is likely failing, try swapping it out for another, it is pretty easy to do

try in other pc or laptop etc see if it does the same thing. also did it get wet?
Just installed new ram and now the keyboard doesn't have lights on it and pulls up CRP disabled when plugged in do you know how to fix

corsair keyboards do seem to do some weird stuff on boot up, my thoughts are its a usb protocol issue

possible i guess, but in theory it is just a normal USB cable so it should be able to do it
Didn't seem to work with my k70 rgb pro, left it on cleaning and now it has loads of macros i didnt want to set that icue doesnt have shown up.

sounds like the FN key is sticking, maybe try a new switch in the socket

A lifesaver.
This solved me an issue where a rogue invisible macro got set up and stuck in keyboard memory (probably by my kitty, who likes hanging out on that keyboard when I'm not at my PC).
What would happen is if ICUE software was off, the A key would instead become a macro trigger for multiple random keypresses (my cat's walk path along the keyboard). Launching ICUE would solve it while it's on, but it didn't show any macros set up on the keyboard, neither in software nor in keyboard memory mode.
Doing a factory reset like in this video fixed it and removed the invisible macro for good.

maybe someone can help me, My corsair K70 mk.2 suddenly stopped working today during games. WASD respond but aren't really doing their job like the command is constantly interrupted. The keyboard is typing well with zero errors - but all F1-12 keys do not work, Cap lock, del, prnt screen etc, numb lock. seem like all functional keys have been almost locked out which also doesnt make sense why WASD doesnt work in games but outside of it it does. Plugged in keyboard in another computer and it works like normal.. rebooted this PC in safe mode to which it then functioned like normal.. but when i reboot normally.. its almost like these keys are locked. I plugged in my friend's keyboard and it did the exact same thing so it is clearly software issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled icue, deleted keyboard drivers, plugged in new port, Changed USB properties, i also did this videos recommended reset.. and still NOTHING. IF OP sees this, id love for your possible solution.
in device manager try going into hidden items and then mice and keyboards and remove all HID devices

With the explosion of RGB 🦄🌈🏳🌈🦄🌈🏳🌈There have been times I’ve reset my keyboards to the factory defaults due to lighting profile issues or corrupted key binding etc. Often thou, I’ve seen a number of user manuals NOT show how to reset the keyboard and I’ve had to go online to find the solution 🥵 which is time wasting and frustrating to the least.

Thanks, sadly I I lost 90% of the red colour, comes back sometimes on startups then it vanishes. Had it reset 10 times :-/ I'll return it.

it should do, seems most people can get a reset, maybe you have a hardware issue rather than a software / firmware issue
why do people want so much LED lighting on their PC's today. I don't get it. They probably don't, it's just manufacturers looking for ways to charge more
i actually like it and would miss it if it was taken away. It is like any things we own, some like to personalise or change the look, the PC isn't just a tool these days, it is a form of personal expression
