Hi! Quick suggestion, don't extend the spike to the left if your goal is to cool down the right side. Drain heat from the right side only to cool it faster.
The right should cool pretty fast as it is, their is much less magma to draw upon on that side. Plus we do want the geo boiler to last us a while otherwise we will need to supplement our power again.
Radbolts dissipate at a rate of 1 bolt per tile so no matter how you loop it they will always fade away. But we have enough from the rocket I'm not to worried.

One water tower going from the top to the bottom of the map, and then of course add in the biggest set of Rodriguez's ever to oxygenate the base; plus you could also then use a heat deletion device strapped onto the tank near the bottom to cool the 95C water down to something reasonable and temperature control the entire tank by putting some diamond temperature shift plates throughout it.... Hey Francis, loving this series. Quick question: Is the Neutronium deletion bug still in game? You have a lot of water touching it on your water tank (right side)
Should the tank overflow, this should be the next phase with a dedicated ice debris pile and if the water tank gets too low you convey the ice via a vacuumed insulated line into the steam generator to restock the tower....
I think a mini base would still works with all the new mechanics except the additional asteroids. If you can move to somewhere bigger why would you stay on the mini. But barring that it's still a great challenge.
You can enter the water tank through the side wall by using a liquid lock with any liquid that is heavier than water (e.g. petroleum), because water always float above petroleum, so it cannot push through the petroleum in the lock. You don't need to destruct the radbolt reflector, you can just use automation wire on it, when the signal is red, it will ignore the incoming radbolts. You don't need visco-gel to make vertical liquid lock, you can just use 2 different types of liquid to make it, it is just a little bit tricky to make it 1-tile width. Hm.. I don't know if it will improve the PC performance, but will you consider to vacuum out all the area outside of the living area? You know, the more tiles that contain gas or liquid, the more CPU power needed to calculate the flows of them. I see you don't like to use infinite storage, but don't think it as cheating, think it as performance saving maybe?
The game is running pretty slow, but I'm hoping when we wipe out a few hundred bees things will speed up a bit. Will have to try the oil liquid lock trick, if it works will save a bunch of time.
As much as I don't like to abuse "exploits" i can't afford to not have a infinite liquid and gas storage, my pc just can't handle the amount of processing it takes. I used to have some sort of tanks and storage for these in the early/mid game, but when i start to centralize them, i build a infinite storage. I also try to fill up the map with tile, i find it easier than vaccum it, i takes one bad gas to ruim everything.
The game is slow enough as it is :) I'll start investing in them when it's more efficient than rockets. Right now I'm loving the amount of diamond we can make.
@@FrancisJohnYT fair enough edit: I said it since it like a little of an exploit since the rocket should consume combustion on each launch but cést la vie (btw the fields asteroids are indeed endless? or did I read the patch not wrong?)
Francis went to the water planet and was never heard from again. Rockets without engines don't have a height limit... that water tank could fit a lot of large liquid tanks, just saying
Now thats a water tank^^ with it being on the right side of the map it reminds me on the abyss biome from modded Terraria ;P (Calimity I think) Its exactly the same, goes from surface to the magma and is completely filled with water.
You can shave off one column of neutronium at a time with a well placed rocket, at least with base game rockets, although I don't know if I got patched.
Random idea but I'd love to see a series where you spend a day or two just fixing peoples bases and saves or like getting something specific up and running for them, think of it like your base loving series except base needs some loving, I think it would be cool to see you solve some lil things for people, when you are finished this series or if ever you are looking for a series ofcourse

I know you already have built the tank but... What about using an entire (secondary) asteroid as a water tank? From side to side, from the bottom to the top, all water. With a small space for a mini base. The only bottleneck I see is the transport to other planets. Automated rockets with liquid tanks? And yes, I've enjoyed it.
He'll build a silly tank for water instead of powerless compression which he says is an exploit. But he'll launch a rocket non-stop using no fuel. No exploit there right? That's fine and dandy.
I will admit I'm terribly inconsistent. Radbolts are new and trying to generate masses of them is a bit of a pain still so I'm trying to figure out what is the best way to do it. I mean we could use infinite rocket launches to generate infinite water via steam, or power via heat. But I consider that to far. Infinite rad bolts I'm ok with as it's just more of a time saver than a game breaker.

Does radbolt dissipate faster when exposed to the void of space? I just put a line of background tile to stop that if it is true.
In real life, radiation would dissipate faster in solids, gases or liquids than in vacuum. I don't know what they implemented here.
Not sure, radboilts dissipate at 1 per tile in Vacuum. In gas over short distances it also appear to be one per tile.
You could use the infinity liquid storage trick to fill your tank from the bottom, instead of from the top.
Not the same, I want to do it the old fashioned way it just feels more appropriate.
@@FrancisJohnYT Yes, though it's still less exploity than using infinite storage.
the only real reason to use infinite storage is for performance purposes on playthroughs that last 3k cycles+
Well, you could also just not store so much water..
@ what if theres no way to realisticly store enough water during the down times of gysers and what not to supply everything
It's better for your PC to tile everything in than go with Vacuum, well it was last I tested.
Now instead of getting rid of that lava down there might be more fun to open up that lava on the water tank and see who wins😌🤣
He already did that video.
Still one of my favourite moments was dropping that ocean on the magma biome.
humm you can create a mini sun (aka a lot of shine bug, aka a shine bug reactor...which a real reactor now!) for that sweet sweet radiation!
"bouncing water" so you have a tide? to bad they dont have a tide power generator.
Francis went to the water planet and was never heard from again. Rockets without engines don't have a height limit... that water tank could fit a lot of large liquid tanks, just saying
It could also fit an entire rocket. Rockets can launch even if fully submerged last I checked.
If it ain't the father of all oni kind.
Sweet lord, that's one huge water tank :)
Doesn't want to use infinite liquid storage because it's too much of an exploit, but goes ahead and uses infinite nuclear rocket launches. XD
I know, I wanted the Diamond to bad.
Me who just watched the last video: **visable happines**
Now thats a water tank^^
with it being on the right side of the map it reminds me on the abyss biome from modded Terraria ;P (Calimity I think)
Its exactly the same, goes from surface to the magma and is completely filled with water.
that's good because we can make more water tank lol.
Finite Liquid Storage Tank for the win!
Isn't this all just start from using geothermal power as backup power, so we can change super coolant for the nuclear reactor?
Oh..... thanks for the reminder I should really get around to that, it will save us a ton of power.
Is there any use for the salt and dirt you get out of the water filtration? You could add some conveyor to pull it out. Would clean it up a bit.
Would need to cool it first and I'm not bothered. If we start to run out of dirt we can start harvesting it.
It bothers me that the map border side of the water tank isn't perfectly even.
You can shave off one column of neutronium at a time with a well placed rocket, at least with base game rockets, although I don't know if I got patched.
YES A NEW EPISODE
I think most colonies are defined by thier most impressively pointless waste of time. That isn't a bad one lol.
It's taken me less time to build sour gas boilers :)
So now you have two planets filled with water
@3:10 since when did brine come out the desalinator less than 40°C even if its freezing cold? or did i miss a new update
They patched it recently, I only noticed when I found the pipe kept breaking.
There’s a RUclipsr that does that. And that’s as far as this conversation goes 🥲
@@michaelsotomayor5001 or is it? Because I would like to know what the RUclipsrs channel is but if you don't wish to say it fair enough
It's called "Dude Fix my base" by Grind This Game, I don't think he does them anymore but their are about 20 of them to look back at.
I will check them out thanks for telling me
@@johngranahan6102 grindthisgame, tony advanced, brothgar.. and another youtuber escapes my mind right now.. there’s a lot of good content for ONI out there. A lot of creative players. Have you seen the base lovin’ videos? It’s awesome watching other peoples’ builds.
A water asteroid already exists I believe, not sure how feasible mass transport is but will have to investigate it when we get their.
@@FrancisJohnYT The dupe staying in the water asteroid for maintenance should be named SpongeBob or Patrick.
It looks a little uneven. Needs another one on the other side.
