That's why to those of use who know and love the English dub, we need to be careful when using the name Myotismon. In a way, he's like the Lord Voldemort of the original series!

What i liked about Vamdemon was that unlike other villains he had a greater plan,to combine both worlds and rule both of them,he even thought he was destined to do it while other villains were just kinda evil or wanted to kill the digidestened.
He was brutal but you kinda want to see him more because of his cool design and moves.
I don't don't really care about his other forms the first one will always be the best one.

Little known fact, the original Vamdemon design is actually based on Dio Brando from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
Specifically the part 1 Dio.
Part 3 and Heaven Ascend DIO are represented by Lucemon and Lucemon X respectively.

They have a similar wings, cape and mask motif. And Belial Vamdemon's Pandemonium Flame is even using portions of the Full Pandemonium Lost that Barbamon uses

Actually he had covered the entire area in a magical sun blocking mist, which is why he was able to fight at full power despite struggling even when in shade when first in the human world.

Vamdemon/Myotismon is probably the most iconic of the villains in Digimon.
He has a great arc, and unlike most villains, he really made the heroes work for every victory, and he's very much the Digimon equivalent of Cell, since both really make you think of every move your going to make.
It's a shame that his Crimson Lighting attack isn't used anymore.

In ReArise they released a Tenacious Vamdemon with the Bloody Stream attack. The animation was very good, maybe even better then with the Night Raid attack. Thanks for watching. :)
@@daltonoakleyjr391 It was just changed from bloody stream to crimson lightning due to censorship, as they must've thought that bloody stream sounded too violent, even if it does make more sense as a name
VenomMyotismon is Myotismon’s form as “the beast” coming to existence 6 minutes and 6 seconds past 6pm. His appearance heralded the arrival of Apocalymon as Apocalymon gains life by amassing “end of the world” data. VenomMyotismon is thus a form of the same data as Apocalymon.
Vandemon/Myotismon not only epitomizes computer viruses but also organic ones. In the older lore it stated that Vandemon grew very powerful by draining the data of other Digimon like a parasite. Whatever remaining data was left over gets corrupted and the helpless Digimon gets turned into a Bakemon, who becomes Vandermon's minion. Basically his motif as a classical vampire suits his virus warrior archetype very well. One could even say he is the perfect virus Digimon, and therefore one of the best villains of the entire franchise.
Best but is also one of overrated villains in Digimon franchise
Vamdemon has two popular Adult Forms, Devimon and Bakemon. While both have other Options to evolve into, Vamdemon is one of the more likely ones.

I know this Digimon it’s Myotismon I remember him since Season 1 & 2 & boy he’s the toughest enemy the DigiDestined fought against but the good thing is they defeated him in the end especially the way he killed Wizardmon, he risked his to save Kari & Gatomon he may have began as Gatomon’s friend but he also died as the hero

BelialVamdamon is a representation of Vamdamons intelligence and cunning mind that's why it looks more mechanical.

Isn’t his name Myotismon? That’s what remember from being a kid he was my favorite villain by far. I hated how they changed digimon after 02, but glad they went back I saw the first few movies that had the original groups. Such a great show,so much better than Pokémon to be honest

DemiDevimon was absorbed and then he re-showed up as that crotch monster! DemiDevimon is a Devimon variant. When VenomMyotismon absorbed him, it was an agreeable combination. The powers of darkness want to amass.

Still say and will always say it GrandDracmon should have been the conclusion of the Vamdemon or Myotismon line. GrandDracmon just has so much more in common with Vamdemon than most of his own line the color scheme scheme the more obvious vampire motif the blond hair but grown out. I think the lines should have been merged and make new Digimon out of the ones left out.

Or maybe GrandDracmon can also be a joggres like Omnimon and Imperialdramon but of VenomVamdemon and DanDevimon. Its said that even Demon Lords so he must pack serious power but he’s underused or underestimated.
I think that VenomVamdemon+Gulfmon is better jogress for GranDracmon than VenomVamdemon+DanDevimon (mainly, because I hate DanDevimon)
well to be fair the Grand Dracumon lore pretty much suggests there are going be more multiple vampire digimon lines expanded in the franchise since he is referenced to be the king of all vampire Digimons.
so it make sense that bandai is going create more vampire lines beyond just Dracumon and vamdemon lines to establish a Digimon vampire hierarchy with Grand Dracumon at the top in lore.
My two (headcanon) Vamdemon evolution lines are: DemiDevimon->IceDevimon->Vamdemon->BelialVamdemon->Barbamon and Dracumon->Sangloupmon->Vamdemon->SkullKnightmon->DarkKnightmon (Note: I don't accept evolution levels that Adventure reboot gave to SkullKnightmon and DarkKnightmon, because in Xros Wars SkullKnightmon and DeadlyAxemon's evolution into DarkKnightmon was presented similarly to WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon's evolution into Omegamon (i.e. Two Mega Level Digimons combine into one ultra-strong Mega Level Digimon) )

With all due respect, I don't understand why an explanation of vampirism is necessary, A: Vampires are the most common place monsters in cinema, B and most importantly: Digimon aren't known to suffer from vampirism or even sanguine vampirsis as their insides are nothing more than free flowing data, so Myotismon's vampirism is legit just for show

You are such an interesting character. From what I saw every comment you left on this channel has been about sub vs dub, doesn't matter if the video is about that topic. You left the most comments on the sub vs dub video. We get it, you prefer the dub. However, I was a bit surprised about this part in your last comment: "forcefully translated JP names". First of all, Digimon and anime in general are from... Japan. Everything they come up with is and always will be the original. Whichever country buys off the right to show it, they have the right to change things if they see fit, however that will always be the "forceful change". I hope you do understand that.

They are forcefully translated because some of them are almost literal and make no sense at all. They aren't the localized names that everyone that grew up with the English dub uses. You are talking in English, not your native language, and using names that are not official names for these characters. They are more like slang names in my opinion, not having anything to do with the actual name given by the dub which is the official sanctioned names that everyone recognizes.

- You also do understand that not everyone grew up with the English dub. I did a vote a long time ago and the sub had a majority of votes, so more people watched the sub. Have you ever wondered why names in other anime stayed the same? Because they used topics that were not considered controversial. Like religion is for Americans.
- Slang names? Wouldn't Matt be a slang for Yamato, Tai for Taichi, T.K. for Takeru, Kari for Hikari, not the other way around?

The names of the English dub are the official names the company wants used. They are translated into English and modernized for English speakers. Some are stylized according to the teams tastes. In my opinion these are the names that should be used. Most of the other language dubs are quote inferior anyways so I wouldnt use that as some baseline for who uses those literal translated names "hououmon vs phoenixmon.. etc" just look up "zudomon french dub" most non eng dubs of the animes are terrible.
