£1.00 single cell & 50p if in a double, then times that by 1,000 for 52wks, it's nothing more than a money spinner, as only 1 license needed for the while establishment.

Prison based PC #4946 was semi professional but sly, deceptive, standoffish, ignorant and gave TGA and AY misleading and incorrect information and requests.
PC #4946 came out to speak with TGA and AY in my opinion, to purely gather the auditor's personal details, his line of questioning was probing, intrusive and inappropriate at times.
PC #4946 tried to his assert his authority by making himself out to be more clever and knowledgeable of the legal facts and law concerning the prison and it's staff, but TGA saw through the constable's lies and BS which immediately got his back up and the PC went into side stepping, denial and defensive mode.
The video evidence showed and proved that PC #4946 had a dislike or distain for TGA and AY, he didn't want the auditors being there and filming the prison and it's staff.
Although PC #4946 never stated on record that TGA and AY weren't allowed to record the prison, his remarks and opinions suggested/insinuated he was not comfortable and happy with what the auditors were doing.
PC #4946 also prejudged TGA and AY and made a disrespectful remark that because they had their faces covered up that the auditors looked suspicious and discretely insinuated/implied, without actually saying it that they may of been engaged in unlawful activity; to me this was willful and blatent profiling and discrimination.
Wearing a face covering to hide your identity or for any other legitimate good reason is in general legal terms not an offence, you can't be labelled as a person with bad intentions, a possible criminal or an individual who has been, is in the process of or about to commit a crime.
Considering the government forced everyone to wear a face mask for 2 years and the police didn't have any problems with individuals concealing their identity then, now that the pandemic is "supposedly" over, face coverings/masks are now looked upon as a big no no again.
The government and police just pick and choose when something is acceptable/lawful or not, and C19 is a perfect example of this hypocritical and BS way of thinking, which I personally am getting really fed up of listening to and seeing now.
I've never seen a police constable based/attached directly to a prison before, but my opinion and gut feeling on the matter is that this "may" be a direct response from the government in partnership with the police to reinforce their presence and authority to combat auditors.
Prisons have been heavily audited over the last 2-3 years and just like police stations, auditors have generally encountered a very negative and hostile reception from it's security and staff; thus them (the prison service) raising their concerns with the government and asking for some help.
This is just a theory but a plausible one which makes sense, if we start seeing more police constables appearing in future auditing videos, assigned directly to other prisons, this will confirm my thoughts and suspicions.
What didn't make much sense to me was PC #4946 saying to TGA and AY that he contacted the local police and they may or may not come out to speak with them.
So what's the point of having a prison based police constable who needs to call upon more officers for assistance, when he could of easily monitored and dealt with the situation himself, which he did do, there was no need to radio in/call for backup as there was no immediate threat and nothing had escalated out of control.
All PC #4946 had was a couple of men filming the front exterior of the prison's building from it's public grounds/carpark, the constable never stated on record/camera that an allegation had been made from a member of prison staff or member of the public that TGA and/or AY had been abusive and/or insultive and/or physically aggressive.
There is the possibility that PC #4946 lied to TGA and AY about him contacting the local police as a form of intimidation to deter and scare the auditors from continuing to film the prison, all we have is the constable's say so and if you know how the police think and operate, they love to regularly twist the truth and lie when it suits them.

"Couple of lads ballied up".......be very afraid of a bit of wool or cotton that hides......a mouth and nose! Seriously, why do they think they need full face identification? Are they any the wiser seeing nostrils and teeth? This is a case of wanting something you don't know why you need!
